  1. Turner takes one of Ikes at bats and uses it well.

  3. Whew. Hawkins gets out of it. Very nice.
  4. Damn. That hit Phillips bat.
  5. Gimme ten minutes with Ike and I'd fix him.
  6. I'll give Murphy this much : he knows what he's gonna do with the ball if its hit to him. No hesitation on that bad throw to second, and it was the play to make. I didn't think he had time but replay shows Cueto wasn't going to slide and would have been out with a good throw. Even seeing that play I feel Murphy is progressing nicely at 2nd. There's no doubt he's working very hard at it. He is definitely getting better, but he will probably always have to work harder than most to keep it up. He also lacks the natural timing good infielders have. Two plays showed that clearly tonight - the rushed play you are talking about, and the slow hopper where he nearly lost the runner earlier. He deserves a ton of credit for the progress he has made, and I can't imagine that he won't work as hard as he has to. Then again, when you see Brandon Phillips everybody else looks like the Tin Man before the oil can showed up. Yea, that play where he should have charged a lil, like the booth said. That was too close for comfort. Bruce juice makes it 4-3 them.
  7. Sob. Phillips don't suck. Very nice catch.

  13. Damn. Ikes snake bit. Drills a grounder that a diving red glove got in the way of.

I would love to see Ike walk back into the dugout and not come back out for the rest of the night. Gah! That was my first thought when it happened.... And this is not just lack of hustle. His head don't seem to be in it.
  15. Ron says that if Ike wasn't standing there Votto would not have tried for second. I dunno about that. He was cutting the bag with at least a thought of proceeding.
  16. I think we would have had Votto at second (would have been damn close) even if Ike didn't stand there like a dolt, and that costs us a run. 2-0
  17. Get your head out of your ass Ike!
  18. I like how when Muffy leads off he hits the ball farther.

I lucked out on Jeff's head, which was a nearly perfect match for the original (it's Johnny Depp!). Jay's was a bit more work. Here's a link to the original, if you're curious. (It's pretty big, so I don't want to clutter up this page with with it.) http://jerrygarrett.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/deppflathead.jpg That's amazin'. I was wondering how you got Jeff to comb his hair that way, but that's Depps real hair! And I thought you had to use Jays entire upper body to put there, but that guy has a Horowitzy body, cloths and all! 20. This guy would address a number of problems at once. Gotta take a look see.
