  1. That, my good man, was the opposite. Walks in a run. 4-2
  2. Edgin needs to settle down. Bases all Pirated. 2 out.
  3. Shit. Just out of Wrights reach. Burke, you let me down *sob. 3-2 Bucs
  4. Oh man. Ike, if you can't stop that what good are you!? It was hit hard but he didn't even have to move.
  5. Owners don't count? I love when I can re-use old stuff
  6. I didn't think it possible but Kirk takes the lead in worst pathetic swing of the game. Ike had a decent at bat there.
  7. Edgy MD wrote: Great shots of Bucket and Lunchpail. But really, enough of Pete Rose and Reggie Jackson --- the two most definitive players of the seventies for all the wrong reasons. Let's see some Mazzilli '79 footage. I gave it one minute of searching and this is all I got: C6zNClgnbFI And thats not the outfield wall, lol.

  9. Aardsma! Come on. Do your job. McClutchen ties it with a solo boomer.
  10. Murph knew that was a strike. Damn. He has a lil hitting streak going but is still hovering around .270.
  11. Young still doin it. Knocks out A.J. Buck runs like he's underwater.
  12. On second thought, I'll go with Valdespin.
  13. HUGE double play. Can Torres recoup? Or is five innings all we can expect from him.
  14. Young was safe but could have been called either way. Nice double steal. Ohhhhhh Ike. That was a pretty pathetic swing. Another swing like that tonight and I jump on the Satin bandwagon. And Byrd beats out an infield single for an RBI! Byrd was flyin! 2-0 Mets.
  15. I wasn't aware of that incident Ashie. 1968. Very kool. Not for Harmon though. Great screen shots from the game, including stints by Seaver and Koosman (and commercials). I imagine this was the first time they did this overhead camera view. Maybe not, since the Astrodome was around for a few. First time I saw it. Its amazing the leap in telecast quality during the 60s. I watched a few innings of a 1961 NBC Game OF The Week earlier today and it felt like I was watching something from the 1930s. http://fleersticker.blogspot.com/2011/07/1968-all-star-game-broadcast.html
  16. Welcome aboard Astare. No clue here.
  17. Lets start getting pumped. Well, those that still enjoy the ASG, anyways. My first ASG is still one of my best ASG memories. Is that Durocher behind Rose? He looks like he's sayin "yea man, thats the way to do it!" 4Fj2B9z4Dbw Color footage. Neat to see. In 70 I did not have a color TV. Reggie gave us something to see in '71. -2D9mBNnpUY
  18. Nice read. Especially the two Yogis yelling at Donatelli.
  19. Okay Torres. You can do this. Just take it two innings at a time.
  20. Young 1 Wright 1 Nieuwenhuis 1.5 Lagares 0.5 Hefner 4.7 Aardsma 0.5 Rice 0.3 Edgin 0.5
  21. Germen take this and put it in your souvenir case {BOOOOOOOOOO!} Your very first boooo. We have been in a lot of games to the last out. Ya gotta like that. Whats that, 5-7 now in extras? I give up on a .500 season. My new rooting goal is we get to .500 in extra inning games.
  22. Nice. HUGE k. Get it done kid. UdAmAn.
  23. Put it over the freakin plate Gonzo.
