  1. I DO NOT want to Goldschmidt get up. Lets go Ramos!

  3. Crap, my radio feed is now going in and out. So I'm going to have to rely on u guyz to "bring it home". Lets!

Nothing spectacular, just consistently hitting and walking and running, y'know, the kinds of things the rest of our lineup hasn't been doing a lot of lately ... or all year for that matter. Edgy MD wrote: He walked to load the bases. Oh, I see now. 3 walks and a double (1 fer 1). Nope, they can't stop him.

  6. Frayed Knot wrote: I would have preferred to stick a fork in him about five years ago when we had to face him 4 or 5 times a year. Ha! Agreed. Frayed Knot wrote: Walk-off HR Josh Harrison in Pittsburgh in the 10th inning, busting up Rich Hill's no-hitter and shutout all at once. YOUCH!
  7. Frayed Knot wrote: I think they're trying to say they're the best team now with the ever part still TBD Then just one period would have sufficed (after TEAM).
  8. The MLBtv radio feed is not all that far behind tonight
  9. Stick a fork in him.

    Steven Matz

I think you can stick a fork in Matz. He's done.
  14. Frayed Knot wrote: Oh good, the nightly "tease" moment. Lol, this. Just saw the ConfortoBOOM . I didn't think that was going. 27 HRs for Conforto! I think we should keep him. And of course this keeps my hopes alive, and then they kick me in the nutz. OOOOFFFFfff!
  15. He was a very "heads up" player and the best catcher that we have had this season, backup or not, so I feel this is our loss. And we got squat? Just that play the other night when he waved off d'Arnaud on the bunt to third spoke volumes about him.
  16. A consummate professional who played hard and didn't take his fans for granted.
  17. The GrandySlam really upped my hopes but that's what the Mets do to you sometimes. Up your hopes and then kick you in the nutz.
  18. I thought orange would be way kool back in the late 70's when I drew this. I was a fan of the new unis hitting the majors, like Oaklands green/yellow/white tops. And yes, laugh if you must, that supposed to be me making the catch.. But nothing, NOTHING!!!!!, should ever put the pinstripes up on a shelf. NOTHING!!!!! I am surprised at you JCL
  19. John Cougar Lunchbucket wrote: Reyes and Flores both out with rib cage injuries, dArnaud playing 3B Holy cow! And 2nd, or so I hear.
  20. Nymr83 wrote: Angel Hernandez is suing MLB claiming racial discrimination is the reason he hasn't been promoted. No, jackass, you havent been promoted because YOU FUCKING SUCK and you deserve to be fired and replaced by a more competent umpire. BINGO!
  21. batmagadanleadoff wrote: Could this be our uniform of the future? [tweet]https://twitter.com/metspolice/status/897518396723429376[/tweet] That photo's from a presentation at Hofstra 2012 (Mets 50th anniv.) on the topic of Mets uniform history. That presenter has an historically interesting collection of rare Mets unis, including the one shown. I attended that specific presentation which (and this was my favorite part) at the question/answer section at the end of the presentation, degenerated into a virtually totally unanimous shout-down of the Jackie Robinson rotunda. This neither. On the road I don't think I'd mind the powder blue. I like the set they currently wear at home.
  22. Looks like the pic originates from Creamer Logo's message board back in May of 2012 which says: Sportslogos.net poster wrote: It was intended to be used at some point in the 80's. To me, the most interesting aspect of it (besides it being powder blue, because everyone wore powder blue back then) is that it has a different interlocking NY. And overall, it actually doesn't look half bad. I wonder why the ultimately ended up scrapping it? I did not know this stuff. Just plucked it from twitter. I could possibly like it. I'd like to see a button down version with at least something around the collar. The NY.....meh, but I think I could live with it on the road uni.
  23. lol.Classic funny in this thread. Thanks for pointing it out Batmags.
