  1. *yawn 0-0 Mets in the 2nd.
  2. This is also classic, like the Colon/Natural. But this is Thor himself. What a great sense of humor! Fan: "NOAH SYNDERGAARD!" Thor: "Never heard of the guy."
  3. That is THE BEST! The music by Randy Newman, one of the best marriages of music and a movie ever. His soundtrack fit baseball like no other.
  4. The Agee......*drool* But he's not a Met on that card! So schtoom!
  5. Yo, I have to commend your effort here considering this must all be done manually now. *Salute!

But yea, looks like a great photo that someone stuck stuff on. I hope it's the scan that makes the name & logo look gray like that. So Opening Day has a second series? This makes no sense to me. I thought it was a little set to celebrate the opening of the season, a one off. I think that's a bit much having more than one series of OD. I'm afraid they are watering it all down in a way, all the different types of cards. But, if we buy 'em, they will sell them. That was the big hurdle for the tNOW card. I don't want to support that type of thing in the hobby (I bet this also crossed your mind Seawolf). But when it comes to the Mets I go a little nutty sometimes and caught up in the glow from that HR I had to have that Mets card. Now these cards pictured- I love em all! But I have to step back and say, wait a minute. Variations, parallels, cards w/a lil glow highlight that you can barely see (if you bother to look 4 it),...things are getting out of hand. At least at 2 to 3 bucks a pack. And after all that it's going to be soooo hard not to get an OD blister next time in Target. I can only hope they have none in stock.
  7. There might be a thread about this here, but who knows. The search engine has already left the building. http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/15502698/does-mlb-replay-system-need-fixed "Once upon a time in this game, if an umpire called you out, you were out. If he called you safe, you were safe. About all you could do if you disagreed was kick dirt, heave the nearest base into the outfield or exhaust your supply of words you can't say on "Dora the Explorer." Not anymore. It's now three seasons and nearly 3,000 replay reviews later. Here's how we'd describe life in a world with expanded replay:"

  9. Spahn? Seaver?
  10. I've been running around asking everyone what year Trevor Story's rookie is and no one answers. I guess that's because they have yet to release one. When they do it will look like this (Bowman): [fimg=300]http://www.topps.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/Screen-Shot-2016-05-10-at-8.47.12-AM-730x1024.png[/fimg] Stadium Club: [fimg=400]http://www.topps.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/Screen-Shot-2016-05-09-at-12.04.10-PM-1024x742.png[/fimg] http://www.topps.com/blog/trevor-storys-rookie-cards-and-autographs-coming-soon-to-topps-and-bowman-cards/
  11. Booo! Lost/sad/kinda pissed.
  12. Meh, I wanna complain but Robles probably needs the quick pitch. Last I heard Familia is available tonight.
  13. Bastardo, all smoke and mirrors and a big butt to boot. GOOD JOB ANTONIO!!!!
  14. Ugh. Wow, lucky, nice-grounder to Wright and he gets the lead runner at third. Hey, we may have to consider moving Wright to first (or second base) sooner than anticipated. His arm is just not cutting it. Damn, bummer.
  15. I didn't want to see Bastardo tonight. I'm not really all that confident in him. And Seager just misses a homer...lead off double. yuh-oh.
  16. Ces grounds out. Gah. PCs/mlbTV 3 minutes behind the radio. I like how we all complain about the same things. Me w/the delays, FK w/the long games, etc. We are a consistent bunch.

  18. I'm just sittin down and everyone is already asleep! Is this from tonight's game? I saw the first inning and it was 2-2 Mets last I checked. Still is. Mets have 2 on, 2 out, Cespedes... OE: yep, Gary just gave details about the throw. Niiiice.
  19. seawolf17 wrote: seawolf17 wrote: If you get 5 of these they give you a deal = $5.99 each, so all my brothers are getting one! But someone remind me that I said I can't get too into this limited shit when it comes in the mail next week and I get all excited. Will you have an extra? I'm hesitant to spend ten bucks on one card. I should have one but I can't commit until I run it by my nephew. He was conditioned to be a Mets fan at birth. Well, I'll definitely send you the money for it if it's available (or we can work it into whatever card trade we'll eventually do) because I'm mad at myself for not just buying one. Just got this E from my bro: I talked to Austin and yes he would love one of the cards. He say thanks tons!!! The card count for the Colon is over 8000. One other card sold more then 2000. He shattered the previous record! Sorry Wolfy
  20. A pretty classic screen grab. Look at that smile. And look at the fans- cleary viewing a HR ball against their team, yet laughing and smiling and one guys even pointing at Bart.
  21. 14. Could Bob Gibson be one? OE: sorry, i didn't see this page.

This one? I do believe that was it. I don't recall the number on the back but it had that little red square in the corner. [fimg=600]https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7719/26936491425_5eb0f1b20e_o.jpg[/fimg] Not sure which I like better. I really like the cloth look on the 2nd, and the offset figure. They're both awesome.
  23. Well, I wasn't gonna, but I just ran into this, so I must predict that deGrom goes yard tonight. They just put the internet back together after Colon broke it. I hope it can stand the strain.
  24. Ceetar wrote: yeah, looks to be true. can't get the exact result but can check on 'first 12 games' and only 1 Mets debuter is close with 8 wins, 8-2 over his first 10 decisions over 12 games. Thank you sir. And Colon player of the week. This Mets season set of baseball cards I'm making is gonna be like a zillion cards!
  25. A fb meme tells me that Matz is the first Mets pitcher in team history to win 9 of his first 10 decisions. Anyone know if this is a fact?
