WOW. I always do expect too much, don't I? Verrett is off to the showers in the 3rd! He's come through more than not so I won't rip him a new one but he had to eat up a few more innings. He was around 70 pitches. I would have left him in. This is from the perspective of thinking the Mets have already lost this game.

8:10! Actually that's not bad. That's like a 1970s night game. Some of you young whippersnappers might not recall 8oclock starts. I'm going to tweet to Vin Scully and ask him what he thinks of the amount of night games played today. I'd also like him to run for president. He's the only one I'd vote for because I trust him. And if he wins we still get to hear his voice. Win/Win

I have never seen it. I fire up MLBtv just in time to see the highlight commercial in which Duda throws the ball away in the WS. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I'll watch the ball hitting Canseco in the head every time though. -
