  3. Who ran the filter on this weekend's Subway Series?
  4. Travis Ozga, the bing Mets 1Bman pitched a scoreless inning today, just fyi. (1 hit)
  5. btw, that's Asdrubal Cabrera you have to vote for, not this Miggy one that just hit another home run to put this game in K-Rod range.
  6. bmfc1 wrote: Tigers color guy: the Mets sure run a lot. Play by play guy: we don't see that in our league. haha, awesome.
  7. bmfc1 wrote: Unrelated to the IGT but TFB... Ceetar: thanks for suggesting who to vote for at AL SS. Your welcome. That's Asdrubal Cabrera to the rest of you. Especially important as Mike Francesa thinks the All-Star Game should be a personal 3000 hit celebration for Jeter, when truthfully he shouldn't even be there.
  8. Rayburn breaks it up with a homer, so no breaking another drought tonight.
  9. tack on run by Pagan thanks to a Bayrun. walk and a stolen base.
  10. Sky is blue. turner up with a runner on first. (to start)
  11. Jose-Jose chant in Detroit. gwreck?
  12. Edgy DC wrote: About his 13th straight time on base, says my slightly distorted worldview. 10/11 so you're not even far off. 6 in a row.
  13. Game starts. Mets start with a player on base, as per the rules of baseball.
  14. best chrome extension out there.
  15. Sizzle. or, let's deep fry him?
  16. Sure, he went 0-4 with a walk for Binghamton today, but he also pitched a scoreless inning, 1 hit, for a games finished!

  18. The 35-26 pace would be good for about 93 wins over a full season, will get them to 87 if they continue it from here. The Mets went on a 6-game tear after that start, and from _that_ point they have yet to win or lose more than 3 games in a row, but are playing to a .527 winning percentage.

It's 100% factual that an AL team beating an NL team helps the Mets in the long-shot long-run if they are to make a playoff push. Myself, I was rooting for the Yankees. I mean in theory I'm supposed to root for them because it's factual, but that doesn't mean I did/do. Rather the Reds and Cardinals fall out uof it and the second best team simply lose out in the wild card. Also hoping Cliff Lee's ridiculous June leads to a dead-arm July and the Phillies go 10-17 including a sweep at the hands of the Mets and we're not talking wild card anyway.

(and the Giants are merely the 6th team with an over .500 IL record) Phillies are .451. So it's not like the Mets are typically losing ground because of playing the Yankees.

  22. Frayed Knot wrote: That was Greinke tonight too, although he was partly done in by his defense. John Peter (Juan Pierre) turned four ways then fell on a Granderson soft fly right at him and played it into a 1st inning RBI triple. Then the Brews played the most ridiculous shift I've ever seen on ARod (everyone except 1B on the other side of the diamond even though he hits to the opposite field all the time) and so he simply rolled a ball through the open hole WITH MEN ON BASE for a run-scoring single. ouch. That triple is the only reason the Yankees have more triples than Jose.
  23. Reyes 2.5 Dickey 2.0 Beltran 1.5 Bay 2.0 Pagan 1.5
  24. Edgy DC wrote: Yankees helping the Mets out, up 11-2 over the Brews. I guess the Mets might helping the Yankees also. I'm still picking the Brewers to win the division. I know in theory it helps for all the non-Mets NL teams to lose, but pfft, it's the Yankees. Wish the Red Sox could've actually freaking hit Cliff Lee. They better pound Hamels and whoever pitches after that.
  25. Edgy DC wrote: Emptying the bench and they put Hairston in for... Harris at DH? Um, OK. Terry's proven he knows best. Gotta rest our unstoppable DH. I would've shoved Harris at 2B, given Turner a couple of thumb innings off.
