  2. oh look, staying with a gassed pitcher and some bad defensive planning..
  3. Thole lines a single, so presumably Pelfrey makes out (just barely actually, almost snagged an infield single) that's all Vazquez gets. 5in. Reyes will lead off and make him pay. you count on it.
  4. Mets aren't putting up much of a showing anyway.
  5. no score in the fourth, and no posts? what, do none of you have power?

Here's what I see happening....Ike comes back, running all out, no surgery required and then snap, something goes during the last week of spring training 2012 and surgery is needed after all......yyybbb time wasted. Fixed that for you. That's how we got to see Mike Jacobs for three weeks. remember that?
  7. Edgy DC wrote: That's the game. Yay, Mets! How many DH sweeps have they done at Citifield? Any before today? April 27th, 2010 against the Dodgers. Santana and Takahashi get the wins.
  8. G-Fafif wrote: More BP than Los Mets, actually. Odd. I wasn't aware they were allowed to wear the BP jerseys in a game.
  9. Bonifacio, Infante, Morrison, Stanton, Dobbs, Lopez, Petersen, Hayes, Nolasco. Reyes, Tejada, Wright, Duda, Pagan, Evans, Harris, Nickeas, Gee.

  12. Frayed Knot wrote: Going for the rare DH sweep with Jose-Jose back in the fold. woooo hooo Baxter optioned, and it's on MLB.TV for free for those outoftowners with power.
  13. Is Knot around to start the thread? Reyes! MLB.Tv free game of the week!
  14. G-Fafif wrote: Download it to the digital reading device! game ended too early, looks like I won't be able to grab my first minutes of football before game 2 and Reyes.
  15. Gwreck wrote: Curious: in a 2-0 game, Isringhausen is brought in for the 8th inning, to face the 2-3-4 in the Marlins' order. Izzy gets the difficult guys, Parnell the easy guys. But hey, it'll build his 'closer mindset' or whatever.
  16. The Marlins are an atrocious team. bad defense all around. The Mets only really scored those runs as a result of it.
  17. guess Jose's back for the second game. Which makes sense. Try to burn out someone like Igarashi and then ditch him.
  18. Benjamin Grimm wrote: Dickey and Gee today. Pelfrey tomorrow, Capuano Wednesday. Batista looks like he might go on THursday. I'll be there Thursday. not that I"m excited about seeing Batista. Angel Pagan CF Ruben Tejada SS David Wright 3B Lucas Duda RF Jason Bay LF Nick Evans 1B Josh Thole C Justin Turner 2B R.A. Dickey - RHP
  19. was excited for this game, get to see Reyes return, and marvel at what's likely a tiny crowd at 4. I even took one of my summer days (had to take them before labor day, and I hadn't, so what betteR?) and of course, I managed to get sick and there's no way i'm dealing with driving there, so i'm stuck at home watching it on the boob tube. Who's pitching? Are they having Batista make a start or are they going to hold that decision until thursday?
  20. Oregon
  21. metirish wrote: it's how he called it the other day...take it up with him, eh. Just putting in my two cents. I'll take it up with him next time I see him for sure.
  22. metirish wrote: "it's a Grander-Slam"...."hey Ed Coleman is here to give me a blow Susan" Would've been better as Curtis Granderslam, but eh.
  23. The Mets aren't on today, so let's go to our backup plan, where Jon Sterling will describe every hit as being "Rocked like a Hurricane"
  24. G-Fafif wrote: With Mets off and Newsradio 88 presumably devoted to Irene, WFAN will be airing, if they're not rained out the MFYs versus the Orioles ('FAN and 'CBS being corporate siblings). Sterling, Waldman and all that on the home of the Mets. Feh. as long as every 10 second station ID is Mets praise, go for it.
  25. Let's talk about all those other baseball games being played, while no one's talking about all the East Coast teams.
