  2. I kinda like this movie even less in retrospect.
  3. I enjoyed it. Thought it was cool that it ended in Muir Woods. Fun place, I broke a mug from there in the microwave once. Didn't realize whatever it was painted with had metal in it. Monkeys, viruses, what's not to love? Very predictable but whatever, most origin movies are predictable. Will watch a sequel.
  4. Terry Collins doesn't really seem to put up with a lot of "Woe is us" underdog type mentality. It's like a subtler Rex Ryan. He even said last spring that they expect to be the last team standing.
  5. Gwreck wrote: Personally, I'd bet cash before I'd bet wearing MFY stuff. Money can be replaced. My soul, not so much. I'm kinda concerned about the MFY possibility. Are you saying some of you _own_ this stuff for me to wear if I lost? I certainly don't. I got two free SI Yankees hats last year and promptly put them in a white elephant grab bag at christmas time.

  7. Twitter 'style' suggests you retweet something you're responding to. but in these one-off things guys like Collins and Wright or whoever aren't really thinking about that type of thing.
  8. I didn't say it wasn't awesome.
  9. @bmfc1 we need to improve our bunting, there is no question. Ike Davis is projected as hitting 4th. On under the radar guys to keep an eye on @_R5_ On every good team there is a surprise, someone you do not expect steps up and no one knows who that will be.
  10. @PositiveMetsFan Our job is to put a product on the field that fans can be proud of. Often times negativity is our motivation. On a different approach in ST for his second year. @ontheblack yes I will. With the name changes on our roster we need a change. @PeaceOfSound our game is about pitching - we need to pitch better @ebann5 This is the big leagues - it's about execution. This game is played on the field, not in the papers 'as the favorite' not 'as our second baseman' @PaulLCNY Dan's work ethic will get him past his leg injury. He is coming into spring training as the favorite to be at second base.
  11. @Mets what are the chances some of these young guys like @UpperDekker or Harvey actually break camp with the team? #askTC @vlams @UpperDekker There are no crystal balls to determine who's going to be on this team. Can we read into him including Matt in the response? probably not.
  12. Benjamin Grimm wrote: Did anybody do this? I'm a little curious to know how many times Terry used the word "energy." none yet. he's still responding. (doing so without retweets, which makes it difficult to figure out what people asked too)
  13. Benjamin Grimm wrote: I don't know... I think that wearing a Yankee cap could result in severe scalp burns. I don't know if I'd really get any enjoyment out of any of you wearing a Yankee cap though.
  14. attgig wrote: Left field also looks up for grabs.I don't think I'd be surprised if any of those five came out on top. Well a little if it's Bay maybe. WOW! a bit of reality in Ceetar! (though just a little :-P) It's not reality either way if it hasn't happened yet. If you really think about it, it's sort of insane to have spirited arguments about future events. Are we all Miss Cleo's around here?
  15. Edgy DC wrote: Ah, c'mon. If not money, bet a baseball card. Bet a beer. Bet a humiliating day in a Speedo. That's what I meant, something else. not sure what. not a speedo, even if I do lose 40 pounds by the World Series.
  16. his latest update
  17. Brian Erni recommends ESPN. fantasy season hasn't started just yet, but we're getting closer.
  18. metirish wrote: Of course , if he is the second most valuable then I will donate to a charity of your choice...... by baseball-reference WAR.
  19. metirish wrote: For the fun of it I would like to place $20 bet on this from Ceetar I think at the end of the day, Duda will be the second most valuable RFer, but it'll be close with Stanton. I'm betting that Duda will not be the second most valuable RFer. http://cranepoolforum.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=17377 I'm not betting any more money, but feel free to add it to the list.
  20. see, now this list at least makes sense to me, unlike the ESPN one. Even if I disagree with the value placed on defense. Or more specifically, the expectations of defense. I think at the end of the day, Duda will be the second most valuable RFer, but it'll be close with Stanton. Left field also looks up for grabs.I don't think I'd be surprised if any of those five came out on top. Well a little if it's Bay maybe.
  21. and who here doesn't love a good argument? well, we probably have some time, still like 2.5 months until freaking season starts.
  22. Edgy DC wrote: They will for the Series, though. man, that would be a miracle wouldn't it?
  23. Edgy DC wrote: Valadius wrote: He's a Hall of Famer who distinguished himself with the team and won a championship. The number's been out of circulation for 9 years. I don't understand how you take a number out of circulation and not retire it. I do. Unlike 15,16,17,18 who they've tossed around willie (who's number they were much less cavalier with) nillie, not issuing 8 is a tribute in it of itself. These numbers should go to the Reyes' and Wrights of the world imo, to bridge old stars with new. There's a way to honor Carter without the extreme. Have Mr. Met wear 8. Could start a process of naming things, concession booths, stairwells, etc. Something that's a little more plentiful and would actually solve their problem of feeling like guys are 'fringe' guys. 8, 17, etc.
  24. What's a good keeper site? Yahoo doesn't do that right?
  25. attgig wrote: seems like baseball teams need to invest in private investigators to look into peoples backgrounds before handing out contracts... Red Sox did that for Crawford. chances are they do for the high priced guys.
