There's another part of the website that tells you "check back for details - coming soon" They also haven't emailed me with that info as far as I know, they usually do. The brilliant Four (4) Complimentary tickets that can be used at select games. (I feel like we ranted about this already at some point? About how they Kids Club is now sponsored and somehow provides less?) Basically you can only use them weekdays, and not even Fridays during the summer. The only three weekend/Sunday games available are: 4/10 Phillies, 5/1 Giants, 5/22 Brewers plus the 5/29 ESPN 8pm start Sunday game. April 29th and 5/20 and 5/27 are the three available Fridays in the sense that at least no one has to get up for work/school/daycare the next day. Pretty pathetic imo. No redemption yet but I feel like you're better off trying to pick key games and just selling the tickets and buying what you actually want to take a kid to. * Complimentary Tickets: TICKETS AVAILABLE FOR ALL GAMES IN APRIL AND MAY EXCLUDING OPENING DAY (4/8) AND SATURDAY GAMES (4/9, 4/30, 5/21, 5/28). AVAILABLE ONLY FOR MON-THURS GAMES FROM JUNE 1 THRU SEPT 25, EXCLUDING SUBWAY SERIES GAMES (8/1, 8/2). Complimentary tickets will be in the Promenade Reserved and subject to availability.
  4. the Kids club stuff is out, unless you mean the vouchers for the actual tickets that you basically can only use for games that aren't kid-friendly.
  5. Mex17 wrote: There is no way that this is not almost totally ticket brokers gobbling up everything using automated software. why do they need automated software? These days 'brokers' just means anyone with a computer that knows it'll be a draw.
  6. Gwreck wrote: Bought tickets immediately on Stubhub before people wake up and realize they can jack up their asking prices. I encourage those interested to do the same. just checked on mets.com the game is basically sold out.
  7. position and versatility certainly helps with Zobrist.

You don't have to have him stealing or anything, but he should be able to go first to third when it warrants, be on base a lot in front of Granderson's home runs, and just generally be good. You sort of said it. . .will he or will he not be a liability on the basepaths with the funky back? I don't think so personally, and obviously if it looks like he will don't bat him leadoff, you do have 6 weeks or so to get a sense of how he's moving. It's not like the Mets are going to play a basestealing running game type of game though, it's not like Granderson is gonna be particularly swift or really any of them are, so might as well go with the OBP and maximize value that way. Wright's not gonna run them _out_ of runs likely, and the extra non-out making ability might get the team a few more AB over the course of a month over someone swifter but not as talented.

I would think that he would be getting a minor league deal from someone before January is over. He might not get back to 99-100 regularly but he was spotting 96ish at time last year, his control was just gone. But that's something that's pretty common right after Tommy John, he's a prime candidate to have a nice bounceback year this year, he's certainly a guy I'd take a 2-3 million flyer on, but it'll probably happen closer to Spring (which, granted, is like 3 weeks away) You think it would take that much? I was thinking 1-2 million with incentives. junk change in terms of what pitchers generally get. an extra million or two here and there. Hell, he might be a guy that waits until Spring, shows up to a try out somewhere and if he can pop the gun will get a few more.

my suggestions are still to stop hitting Granderson first. It's still a fair bet that Wright will out OBP him, but be way behind in slugging, so hell, Wright for leadoff. Wright didn't really have enough time last year to really get a feel for what type of player he's going to be post stinosis, but he's still likely not a base-clogger, is a smart baserunner, is a good OBP guy. You don't have to have him stealing or anything, but he should be able to go first to third when it warrants, be on base a lot in front of Granderson's home runs, and just generally be good. Then maybe 2b-Walker 1B-Duda CF-Cespedes C-d'Arnaud LF-Conforto DH-Flores SS-Cabrera

  12. visited Finback brewery tonight and then had drinks to commiserate with some QBC folks, so i'm good.

  15. I wasn't really trying to make a point, just pointing out he wasn't quite taking up a roster spot.
  16. batmagadanleadoff wrote: And how come the Mets never raised this issue of Cespedes not fitting last year when Cespedes was going Bambino on the competition and Cuddyer was an extra outfielder taking up a roster spot? It's always about the money. During the stretch between Cespedes first 2-hit game and his last, 8/3 to 9/25 Michael Cuddyer .343/.390/.500 Yoenis Cespedes .301/.344/.650
  17. Centerfield wrote: And now reports are that he's reached out to the Yankees. Dude, he is totally playing up our rivals to make us jealous. I think he really likes us! I think he enjoyed his time here, but I don't think he particularly 'loves' the Mets any more than he thinks they're his best bet and he's trying to drive up teh price.
  18. Wilmer Flores was interviewed on Mets Hot Stove last night. He was asked what kind of a teammate Yoenis Cespedes was, and he said (I'm afraid I'm paraphrasing here), "He wasn't special. He was a teammate who was there." I'm trying to figure out how to read this. It could be: "Eh. Whatevers. He's nothing special as a teammate. He's just there, youknowwhati'msayin?" "He's great. Even though he's a superstar, he needs no special treatment. He's always there for you." I figure it's "He was only here three months and we also had 2 other new guys plus David and Trav back and a dozen rookies, he didn't stand out particularly"
  19. No Cespedes. No 'major' signing between now and the start of the season. Let's maximize it and say the Nats get Cespedes. Do the Mets make it?
  20. batmagadanleadoff wrote: Ceetar wrote: You're just saying from a volume standpoint? Yeah, sure, he's a good hitter and if you're looking to sign another hitter, obviously. But I'm not sure teams not already somewhat considering him would suddenly jump in interest.\ Teams might not be interested in Cespedes because he might not fit cleanly into their existing lineups, or fill their needs. That's one of the arguments advanced for the Mets not to re-sign him. But the NL DH would suddenly create 15 new needs that weren't even under consideration before. Frankly, I think that it would be a bonanza for Cespedes and that he might've even been the most sought after FA of this off-season. But yeah, this is all just another guessing game. Well, Chris Davis would've probably been the most sought after guy as his position is the least valuable, but yeah, there are only so many players available. The Mets could make Cespedes as DH work but I think they're actually more apt to benefit from d'Arnaud there, particularly if they believe in Plawecki. rest the catchers, slide Wright in there a lot, etc.
  21. I'm not really interested in the public perception. Public polls suggest people want to see Donald Trump as president too, so grain of salt.

  23. d'Kong76 wrote: You're discounting a lot there, Ceets. It's not all about your magic numbers. yeah, it very much is. Cespedes wasn't even really a factor in the first Nats series. He certainly wasn't worth 7 wins over 2 months.
  24. batmagadanleadoff wrote: Ceetar wrote: I'm not sure Cespedes is a good enough player to pay as a pure DH. Not good enough compared to whom? The DH would create 15 more batting slots. You don't think there's a nice payday in store for a guy with 30+ HR power who isn't a defensive cripple and who has one of the best throwing arms in the game? You could do plenty worse than Cespedes as your DH. yeah, he'll throw out a ton of guys playing DH.
