  1. Granted, wins are more enjoyable than losses but there's barely an element of entertainment with these fucks. I'm having trouble liking these guys. Hey. look, Luis had his head up his ass (again).
  2. Very nice to read. I guess it's tough to have a bad attitude or be a prima dona when you're a 34th round draftee. Sounds like a good kid.
  3. Nice win for the Friars. Tough little bastards. SS who hadn't played above A ball before this year beats the Muts with a GS. Why don't we have anyone like that?
  4. I'm sure it's in my head, but it seems the more exagerated his delivery is, the wilder his pitches. Triple fuck.
  5. Fuck. As bad a call at home as that was Frankie has no one to blame but himself. Double fuck!
  6. Nice at-bat Hedley...

Turned the game on last inning and it sounded as if Gary and Ron were eulogizing Manuel. Speaking to his humanity throughout all of this year's ordeals, etc. I'd half expected to hear that he'd been canned. Caught a ride home from a co-worker with a Francesa habit. Ol' No-SugarTits was doing his weekly interview with Manuel... and he couldn't stop praising the guy for "not losing (his) sense of humor" and "proving (his) character." He sounded like a schoolgirl with neckfat. Whatever he's got, it must be exotic. Almost sounds like the Wilpon's or Jay H. distributed new talking points today.

  9. I heard them. Favorite was Cabrera's. "The Melkman delivers!" As a bonus, Sterling also tosses us, "It's the Melky Way!" Wow...a run just scored w/o benefit of a HR. Amazing!
  10. Listening to the game on my flight home and heard John Sterling say, "It is high. It is far..." for three hitters in a row. (Jeter, Damon and Texiera). Only one of the ball was actually out. The two boobs, Waldman and Sterling, have to be the worst announcers in baseball. He's also said on three instances how much he hates statsitics but goes on to rattle off three different retarded "facts." What a douchebag.
  11. Another bum hamstring??? Now Niese pulls a hammy covering first. WTF! Bring back Sikes or Garland. Is Radomski in jail? How about digging up Gus Mauch? Does the number of these injuries represent a real problem with how the players are being worked out and the type of shape they're in?
  12. Howe was clearly in over his head. Nice guy but horrible manager.
  13. Has the charter left yet? I'm ready but need the black Mets jersey...I only have road grays. On a side note, how could Figboy be so ineffective on Monday and go four plus strong today? For the life of me I can't figure out this pitching. Green blows early in the season, looks like a machine until a week or so ago and is back to being a tool. Same for nearly every arm on the staff.
  14. What does leg discomfort mean? Is there a pussy factor here?
  15. Second Edition with a foreward by Jerry Manuel.
  16. Fernando Vina, too. Away on vacation and following the last couple of innings on Gamecast through a bad Internet connection. WTF is it with this team???
  17. Another happy recap. Thanks, Angel (and CSB).

  19. I think it was Gary who noted during last night's broadcast that Wagner was throwing 94 MPH. Not too shabby. Hopefully he can hold it together.
  20. Let's start another streak tomorrow night! Just, please, no Rob Lowe.
  21. Wow...gotta see that replay. Thanks, Blue!
  22. ="G-Fafif"] ]Jules, y'know, honey... this isn't real. You know what it is? It's St. Elmo's Fire. Electric flashes of light that appear in dark skies out of nowhere. Sailors would guide entire journeys by it, but the joke was on them... there was no fire. There wasn't even a St. Elmo. They made it up. They made it up because they thought they needed it to keep them going when times got tough, just like you're making up all of this. We're all going through this. It's our time at the edge. Dude, why you harshing our mellow?

Later[/quote:1vog50t3] Heard Michael Kay gushing about how on top of everything Matthews was and how much credit he should get for his articles on this stuff.[/quote:1vog50t3] Two douches. Matthews knows boxing. That's it. Kay's a MFY cheerleader. That's it. SteveJRogers Jul 29 2009 09:41 PM ="Ceetar":2bh4yohp]="MFS62":2bh4yohp]I'm not sure if Matthews is a registered cretin. I went back to listening to WFAN commercials in the car after that.[/quote:2bh4yohp] Hmmm, unless I read everything wrong, or misremembered, could have sworn Michael and Wally were pretty much at each other's throats back when they both worked on 1050. LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Jul 29 2009 10:56 PM Deadspin big-upped the Matthews story as well. But that's probably because it fits the Omar-as-boob narrative they've been crafting over there. While there should be no impact on day-to-day operations of the Wilpons' personal losses-- and anyone who suggests so doesn't understand how the accounting works, or is willfully ignoring it to ply their hackery-- it's entirely feasible that the losses lead semi-directly to the Wilpons' selling the team. Matthews probably cringes over the fact that Newsday's sports editor is an MMA fan (I know this for a fact). MFS62 Jul 30 2009 10:26 AM ="Mex17":1tvxjr2y]="MFS62":1tvxjr2y]Matthews knows boxing. I wouldn't give him any credit for knowing anything. If anyone should be checking out that website for a douchebag name (see other forum) it's Wally. Later
