  1. Nimmo goes KABOOM! That deserves a beer.
  2. That play should never have been that close. Telez made a nice play, but Alvarez was getting a miniscule lead from 3rd and hesitated (one step then stopped) before breaking for home. Alvarez should have been off third as much as the 3B Jung was, but he was hovering near the bag like someone was holding him on. Rather fortunate to get the one run.
  3. McLean has thrown 5 innings of shut out ball on 82 pitches. Going by Mendoza's usual usage of starting pitchers, I expect him to come out for the 6th inning and be removed should he allow a base runner.

  6. I can't look anymore. It's like watching a multi-decapitation car-crash with heads rolling all across the highway. Watching the Mets games of late is like some kind of Macabre Theater. It's really not fun to watch. I'm going to need more than one to sit through another game. https://img.freepik.com/premium-photo/three-full-beer-mugs-rustic-wooden-table_1022647-113.jpg>
  7. The Mets need to go 6-7 in their remain games to finish with 82 wins and assure a better than .500 season. From what I have seen seen from them in the past month, I have serious doubt they can accomplish that small feat. Playoffs look like a pipe dream for this team.
  8. The Mets are just teasing us and prolonging our agony.
  9. This team hasn't looked right for quite some time.
  10. Well, at least went down swinging instead of staring at a fast ball. Either way, the result was fairly predictable.
  11. Mets down to using Mullins as a pinch hitter. This team is broken.
  12. You could see this coming form mile away. Frayed Know practically called this.
  13. Don't have a good feeling about this. Both Pederson and Burger have faced Rogers quite a bit in the past. Before I could finish typing, half the lead is gone.
  14. Mendoza just isn't to his starters getting through five innings, let alone six. I guess Sproat reached the Mendoza Line.
  15. =Centerfield post_id=204314 time=1757800808 user_id=65] Wow. Great job Sproat. Let's get this kid a big lead.
  16. Ranger Line Up Smith - SS Langford - LF Pederson - DH Burger - 1B Jung - 3B Osuna - RF Helm - C Freeman - 2B Helman - CF Corbin - LHP
  17. Mets Line up Lindor - SS Soto - RF Alonso - 1B Vientos - 3B Nimmo - LF Marte - DH Alvarez - C McNeil - 2B Siri - CF Sproat - RHP
  18. He is sporting a 8.49 ERA through 11.2 innings over his 3 starts. He likely was promoted too soon out of desperation and necessity.
  19. =ashie62 post_id=204274 time=1757728312 user_id=90] Let the alumni guys play the Rangers tomorrow
  20. Wow. Vientos takes a 3-2 fastball (92 mph) right down the middle, then starts walking toward the dug out. That ending pretty much sums this team up of late. A virtually total lack of starting pitching, an over worked bullpen, and an offense that seems to be feely the pressure. Not a recipe for winning.
  21. A "rally sneaker" in one hand and a beer in the other. Might a well put his shoe back on and get a second beer to make watching the Mets more bearable.
  22. =ashie62 post_id=204267 time=1757727686 user_id=90] Let's see if the rally sneakers help
  23. Well, nice over the shoulder catch of a short fly to LCF by Lindor. Quick spin and throw to second to double off the runner. Rare highlight for the Mets of late.
