  1. The MFYs add Brian Roberts and Matt Thornton... and they just keep getting older and more expensive: CF - Ellsbury (30/$22m) SS - Jeter (40/$12m) / Ryan (32/$2m) RF - Beltran (37/$15m) / Ichiro (40/$6.5m) 1b - Texiera (34/$22.5m) 3b -[A-Rod (38/$25m) - may be suspended]/ Nunez (27/?) C - McCann (30/$17m) / Cervelli (28/~$1m) DH - Soriano (38/$5m) / Wells (35/$2.4m) LF - Gardner (32/~$4m) 2b - Roberts (36/$2m) / Johnson (32/$3m) SP - Sabathia (33/$22m) SP - Kuroda (39/$16M) SP - Nova (27/~$3m) SP - [Pineda] (25/~$?) SP - [Phelps] (27/~?) RP - Robertson (29/~$3m) RP - Kelley (30/~$2m) RP - Eppley (28/~?) RP - Thornton (37/$3.5m) RP - Warren (26/~?) / Claiborne (26/~?) RP/SP -[Huff] (29/~?) I appreciate their willingness to spend. It's only money...
  2. A Rubin piece stating that the only piece the Mets are going out for is a 5th starter Florida invitee.. He projects starters Duda at 1b and Tejada at SS... This is just one writers opinion and he admits change is likely. Sandy...stay on the phone, we need ya.. http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/mets/post/_/id/80221/roster-reset-mets-roster-becoming-clearer
  3. For me personally, if we can get into 2014 sans Ike Davis and Duda I will offer Ashie Kudos to Alderson. To see those guys back at the major league level as Mets just gives me flashbacks to some pretty bad baseball... Hoping for the best..
  4. I'm partial to Gregorious. I can only guess they want starting pitching and for sure they are not getting Syndergaard. Maybe we get a Ruben sandwich for 2014 and abstain, you never know..
  5. Cmon..football is still going!
  6. Edgy MD wrote: A lot of things have happened to suggest the trend lines of the past will deviate going forward. They always do. It's not a miracle when that happens. Yes, a lot will have to go right. It always has to be that way, more or less. The Mets' two championship teams were largely injury-free. Sounds abit pollyanna...
  7. I believe Joba is an Indian 1/2.5
  8. Seaver an Koosman?
  9. Montero at 1b?
  10. Screw the lost pick cmon..
  11. Ill bet on the Brewers. Personally, I believe Ike will be our 2014 Mets IB..
  12. Edgy MD wrote: Well, if you disagree, then it makes no sense to preface that disagreement with "Duh." It would actually be quite easy to move him. I want Davis in section 108 in the Meaodowlands...
  13. Yes he has been as lousy and was considered a cant miss just 2 years ago. He is 24 with one PED conviction. He is available by trade only not free agent money. I would be more comfortable with this guy to fill in for Travis on DL trips than Recker or some of the $400,000 guys... http://www.rotoworld.com/player/mlb/4663/jesus-montero
  14. I thought this was for CPF members...
  15. Rubin tweets the Mets will not "give away" Ike.. Well duh... It may be easier to move a red headed stepchild than Ike..
  16. He has done very well since the use of regenerative medicine, stem cell stuff, on his arm. I will take this over Bronson Arroyo..
  17. He is on a see food diet
  18. Edgy MD wrote: Why do people confuse a closed transaction with activity? Cause its the Mets...
  19. I'd be happy to discard them like junk.. They both suck..
  20. Other than getting an OF that has power Sandy has done what to..??? rectify SS....Get an SP...a durable C nothing I can see....
  21. So Marlin McPhail is the bastard responsible for Reese Havens....
  22. Granderson may very well be productive at 37, people do live to be that old...
  23. There was talk earlier in the day of a Mets PR at 6pm today. It would appear Rubin got a few questions into Sandy tonight and Rubin has concluded Davis or Duda will be traded sooner rather than later.. Nothing new really... http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/mets/post/_/id/79912/mets-hope-to-deal-first-baseman-shortly
