  1. Reynolds huh? We shall see. Onward and upward! LGM
  2. It will take more tahn Wheeler now. Zack Wheeler has been backed off his rehab due to renewed elbow discomfort. He won't throw his scheduled simulated game this week, and this will also further delay a minor league rehab assignment. Wheeler had been aiming to return from Tommy John surgery shortly after the All-Star break. He might now be sidelined through all of July. The right-hander is scheduled to be examined by Mets team doctors on Wednesday in New York. DiComo
  3. With Wheeler delayed.. Verrett blows
  4. Even David Wright turned out to be dangerous. Ask about Votto Mets
  5. Harvey possibly to the Red Sox? New to me. http://www.nj.com/mets/index.ssf/2016/06/mets_red_sox_talked_matt_harvey_trade_in_offseason.html#incart_river_index

  7. I would rather have the Cuban or the Rookie Rivera at 3B before moving Walker. Walker is part of the solution and would leave him alone. My only other thought is James Loney ain't all that. Later.
  8. I was thinking a of Lagares Nimmo and Conforto troika of some sort. Most teams bullpens are so erratic that I can't think of any improvements but admit I am tired of Bastardo. This is kinda insane but Pablo Sandoval is likely available. Later.
  9. I see two guys, other than d'Arnaud, that could provide the spark we need and thats Nimmo and Dilson. However, Walker is just ok at 2b. Sooo... I have no clue.

  11. Any lineups?
  12. And I'd like to see Nimmo for two weeks at Citi. I still believe in Conforto but a demotion or DL might help, It helped d'Arnaud, Ike not so much.
  13. This is unwatchable. Later.

But what exactly are you looking for, Cee? Something closer to the 10% walk rate than the 4.4 he has in June. Something less than the 28 in may and 33% in June K rate. Those are Nieuwenhuis numbers. he's 4/43 with 1 BB against lefties. That's a small sample, but I might be able to do better in those spots just by standing their and not swinging hoping for 4 balls. His batting ball lines are bad too. He's just making a ton of soft contact up the middle. he's just tapping out the 2B and SS basically. One good day against some struggling pitchers is not going to allay those concerns. You have to be kidding. He hits for more power than Kirk ever did.
  15. We drafted quite a crotch.
  16. Lagares aggravated his thumb. Stagetime Brandon Nimmo.
  17. Get well David. To the Mets: negotiate a buyout and let him start on the track to managing the Mets. I don't want David in a wheelchair at 45.
  18. No home cookin tonight. We bite it.
  19. Newsday says the Mets have not considered sending Conforto down.
  20. Pretty much. That made me laugh.
  21. Michael Conforto is having his wrist examined. NEXT Otter, this is ridiculous.
  22. Hope so, we have quite a few ailing bodies. I see Neil Walker and the phrase back issues and cringe.
  23. Ike Davis is now an MFY.
  24. Maybe Sandy can think a bit bigger soon.
