The Cardinals are almost always a pain in the azz, home or away. Carlos Martinez and Thor are fairly evenly matched.

The Yankees prize is an OF Gleyber Torres Torres, 19, is hitting .275/.359/.433 in High Class A. He was recently ranked the 27th best prospect by Baseball America and the 34th best prospect by Baseball Prospectus. Torres' combination of three potential plus tools -- with power being his lone substandard one -- and polish makes him an intriguing piece. It's unclear who else the Cubs might be sending to the Bronx, but Torres seems like a good start to the Yankees' rebuild.

TransMonk wrote: Lucroy has a team option for 2017 at $5,250,000...I'm assuming that would transfer via a trade. The Mets may have offered a catcher-for-catcher straight up swap, but I'm not sure why the Brewers would trade one of their best players for someone who has (so far) been inferior even if Travis has a few years of team control. Brewers declined.

Matt Snyder of CBS reported the Mets offered d'Arnaud for Lucroy even up.

Tom was there a year ago at the Otesaga Hotel. Hoping he is well know. I thought he lived for this weekend. We all get old. http://nypost.com/2015/07/24/tom-seaver-on-how-mets-are-mishandling-their-stud-muffins/

I hope Seaver makes it there this year. His FB page has been silent since January.

Nobody saw this coming from Justin Turner expect possibly Anthony Recker. Hoping Flores is in tonights lineup. Jose Reyes looks like a dead fish. Sit his azz for a day.
