The bottom line is no other NL contenders have the starting pitching depth and quality that the Mets do, and AL also as I think of it The Mets are going to win the 2024 World Series and in the spirit of 1969 maybe even the Jets LGM Ya Gotta Believe Takin Care of Business

=Cowtipper post_id=171098 time=1726869223 user_id=166] I made this claim in a thread not long ago and our local pedants called me out on it.

We get David Peterson vs Christopher Sanchez I watched Sanchez' last outing against Toronto and he was lights out Probably not gonna get 10 runs tonight but enough to go two up on Philthy LGM

I don't think I really trust these percentages. It feels as if they still use info from April when the Braves were healthy and Mets were losing often

Iggy and Acuna are like dance partners in the middle. Hard to break them up I mentioned Marte cause he's so friggin hot. The lefty rightly platooning is preferred but not mandatory

Jose Iglesias 4 Brandon Nimmo 7 Mark Vientos 5 Pete Alonso 3 Jesse Winker 9 JD Martinez DH Tyrone Taylor 8 Francisco Alvarez 2 Luisangel Acuna 6 Luis Severino 1 I thought Marte would get a start

Mets are going for 4 in a row with 10 games left Atlanta is up 8-1 so the Mets can win and frustrate them further Louis Severino gets the ball and will continue his thoroughbred horse impression TV is funky in the home market tonight with the Jets and all It is a Fox game but I couldn't name the exact channel LGM
  22. ashie62
Scared the shite out of me I've been calling him Ace Peterson
  23. ashie62
As mediocre as Acuna was at AAA he is the opposite of that in the bigs Pitchers don't have much of a book on Acuna yet and I hope he doesn't stall
  24. ashie62
    World Series bound Amazin!

Gary and Ron suggested Drew Gilbert get a September 1 call up. Although injured for a long stretch he is doing well in Triple A of late Wouldn't it make sense to dfa Reyes and promote a Drew Gilbert or Luke Ritter?
