  1. Let's not delude ourselves. Stokes SUCKS. He will NOT make the team. If he does, it will be an enormous mistake.
  2. That is indeed Mario Cuomo. I met him once at my synagogue when he came to speak.
  3. I fucking hate that stupid "pursed lip" pose. It looks even more ridiculous coming from guys.
  4. He's a catcher, isn't he?
  5. My guess on F-Mart is that he sees significant September action and comes up to the big leagues full-time in mid-2009.
  6. Why not try him out for long relief?
  7. Congratulations on your 10,000th post!

  12. I had a fantastic time. It was my first time meeting everyone who was present. It was great to meet you all. I look forward to the May game, which barring unforeseen circumstances I will be able to attend.
  13. I'm gonna be able to make it today. I'll be wearing a Mets hat with a Giants Super Bowl Champions sweatshirt.
  14. So how are we gonna know where to find each other tomorrow?

  17. It bothers me because it can be avoided. They could've gone in another direction. Instead they went with an easy name to ridicule.
  18. Exactly. Met Life would be nice though.

Yankee Stadium, entering its final season, is the site of this years game on July 15, with the 2009 All-Star game scheduled for St. Louis. The Los Angeles Angels are the likely host in 2010, with Arizona the leading contender for 2011 and Kansas City a strong possibility for the following year. The Mets move from Shea Stadium to Citi Field next season. We were informed by the commissioner that after moving into City Field, we would have an All-Star game but no date has been set, Mets spokesman Jay Horwitz said Thursday following similar comments by chief operating officer Jeff Wilpon to ESPN.com. The All-Star order has been widely expected since commissioner Bud Selig said last July that he planned to announced two or three All-Star sites within two months. However, no sites past 2009 have been announced.
  20. Yeah, I usually take about 5-10 minutes to do my scores, depending on how many people I think deserve points.
  21. Since when did Brian Schneider become a "New York Hero"?
  22. Oh wait a minute, the Spring Training game meeting is in New York? For some reason I thought it was actually in Florida. I actually can make it then, as I'm home for spring break. I'll let you guys know if I can make it. Put me down for a maybe then.
