Agreed, they look sharp out there. I think it's why they are winning.
  2. Dickey 3 Parnell .75 Francisco .75 Rauch .75 Duda 2 Thole 1 Wright 1.5 Nieuwenhuis .25
  3. If only Jason Bay had some kind of pedigree as a MLB hitter.

Lincecum's already given up 3 though, and our friend Pagan popped out with 2 on. Seriously. I am drenched in all of this hot steamy MLB action.
  5. God I hope he spends the whole year doing that. DELIGHTFUL.
  6. I envy those of you in the greater NYC area, close enough to go to a Mets game on a weekday without it impacting the rest of your work week or lives too significantly. Having said that, Fboy and I had the next best thing. He had a half day of school today, and so I picked him up and brought him home, we had lunch, and then I worked from home (on a slow-ish paced afternoon, work wise, fortunately) and we watched the game together on a 55" HDTV in surround sound. They won, we watched it in its entirety, I was on the clock the entire time. Good deal right there.
  7. It's actually a rule in the collective bargaining agreement, IIRC. The only time you can schedule a one game series is to do it as the first game of the year.

Sounds reasonable, I'm buying. I don't really have a horse in this race.
  9. Santana 2.5 Wright 2.5 Byrdak 1 Torres .5 Murphy 1 Rauch .5 Francisco .5 Ramirez .5 Hairston .25 Torres .25 Thole .5
  10. I would love to take the two Yankee series. I think that's the best vehicle for dick jokes.
  11. PUT IT IN THE BOOKS!
  12. How about a damn insurance run before we get to Benitez 2.0?
  13. HahnSolo wrote: Torres out of the game? Yep, pulled up lame going after that fly ball. They are saying his calf once again, same one that troubled him in FL.
  14. Pinch hitter, doesn't hit, in a pinch. Do we have another lefty in the pipeline who's hurt or something? Is Hairston a lefty?
  15. Johan in a jam. Based loaded, two out, Bourn up.
  16. I like the faux handwritten lineup cards. Let's Go Mets!
  17. I'm as excited as a little girl!
  18. Yay baseball! The medical staff gets a shout out at Opening Day? I'd boo these schlubs if I was there.

  21. Got the green light to telecommute tomorrow, Fboy has a half day of school. Picking him up, having lunch and then working and watching the game.
