  1. You can make the argument that Kevin Pillar has been the best Mets hitter this past month, as Ronnie says... and that is a sad, sad argument.
  2. Aaaaaaaand apparently HE'S hurt/sick now, too.
  3. Tie One is HANDLING the most dangerous hitter in the league so far.
  4. Hager looks a little like a shrunken Captain Kirk, don't he? This Ryan Thompson got a funKAY windup.

  6. MAZEIKA'D
  7. I'm pretty certain they don't need to worry about facing THIS lineup a third time through the order.
  8. GOD, I hate these Florida trips.
  9. I didn't say it was logical, I was trying to think like Sandy. https://www.mlb.com/mets/roster/40-man/https://www.mlb.com/mets/roster/40-man/ If I'm reading this correctly, there are only two non-pitchers on the 40-man who aren't on the team or injured, Lee and Grullon. That is so G-D odd. They had to ADD Hager to the 40 to bring him up, too. (Could've gone with Drury instead, who I KNOW has played all over the diamond.)

  13. I don't get it. From the Dodger side, I mean. Major-league deal, too. Even with the injuries, they've got, like, 3-4 1B options on any given day. Tres Wilponian.
  14. =MFS62 post_id=64324 time=1621106698 user_id=60] =bmfc1 post_id=64323 time=1621105795 user_id=73] I'd like to know the thought process behind using Lucchesi instead of Yamamoto. Was it based on some high-level analytics? Whatever it was, don't do it again.
  15. =LWFS post_id=64313 time=1621103324 user_id=84] Reid-Foley looks like he should ALWAYS be wearing a camouflage hat

  17. Lucchesi gonna Lucchesi
  18. 17 straight retired? HOO-whee.
  19. Edgy MD wrote: I wouldn't call those two strikes against Alonso bad calls, but any pitcher who gets those calls is going to be hard to hit. Peterson seems to be getting them, as well.
  20. I pay pretty-- read: VERY-- close attention to hitters around baseball, mostly owing to fantasy and such. Every time I see a Rays lineup, they're guaranteed to have at least one hitter in there I have literally never heard of. Padlo is that guy tonight.
  21. Oh, that Bench Mob
  22. A Boy Named Seo wrote: I guess I'm pleasantly surprised that fans in the house today weren't assholes to Harvey, but I'm a little surprised at how beloved he is years later. My feelings on him are a bit more mixed. I mean, sure, he could be a ninny, but he played well and hard when he was here, y'know? Plus, he set an innings-pitched record for the first season back from TJ, IIRC, blowing past all the handle-with-care advice... because he's a competitor, and because that team needed it. Joanie, part of the Rickey Club? Whodathunk.
