  1. Matt Harvey, postgame: "Obviously, there have been so many ups and downs here at this ballpark and with this organization that I didn't really know what to expect. And what the fans gave me out there was pretty incredible. I was holding back tears. I'm not going to lie about that." Our guy grew up, it seems.
  2. Taijuan Walker with a strong 7, dropping the ERA to 2.20 over 7 starts.

Willets Point wrote: Lazy research turned this up: https://baltimorefishbowl.com/stories/joan-jett-might-orioles-biggest-fan/https://baltimorefishbowl.com/stories/joan-jett-might-orioles-biggest-fan/ We used to live in Maryland and my dad took us to see the Baltimore Orioles several times. But my first game was Jim Palmer against Catfish Hunter of the Oakland A's. Jim Palmer threw a no-hitter. So how can you not be an Orioles freak after seeing that for the first game? It was the team with Brooks Robinson, Frank Robinson and the 4 20-game winners. It was quite a learning experience at the time. There's being a big fan, and then there's being a full-dress-fantasy-camp big fan. Apparently, she also did the anthem at Cal's record-tying game, at his request.
  6. =kcmets post_id=64041 time=1620841491 user_id=53] Fan of Boog Powell BBQ?
  7. Wracking my brain here for the source of the O's allegiance for Jett (born in Philly, longtime LI resident). Weaver's niece? Secret dalliance with Eddie Murray? Secret dalliance with Eddie Murray's wife?
  8. Villar bucking for some -Illar points with the hustle here in the fifth
  9. Smithllared
  10. Conforto does Swoboda to take a possible triple from Hays. JEEZ.
  11. We've got a definite early leader in today's Illar of the Game race.
  12. Come on, Beardy.
  13. Dom can TOTALLY hit this dude.
  14. Jeez, Almora left an indent in the GEICO outfield sign that looks like a dang radiation photograph.
  15. A) Loup tends to come thisclose to hitting dudes all the time Stroman is the groundball pitcher C) This gets you a worse matchup
  16. Lefty Specialist wrote: Debating Madrid and Manhattan phone books as Dom gets a ribeye steak. Again holding up Conforto for no apparent reason... where he died on the vine.
  17. Caught two "puta"s (at least) from lip-reading. Probably shouldn't let fly with the Spanish for Filthy, Filthy Lovers with umpire Manny Gonzalez behind the plate.
  18. They don't want robot umps? DON'T MISS THE NO-BRAINERS.
  19. May to close? I'll take it.
  20. Familia looking sharp in general. His stuff and control have been vintage for the last 3-4 weeks.
  21. This game he's having, I'm wondering who _Pillar_ hand-thrashed in the dugout tonight, is what I'm wondering
  22. I feel like this would be much less of a story, frankly, if Lindor were more comfortable being a bit of a dick. If he'd said what he said (obviously, an agreed-upon BS story) then gruffly said, like McNeil did, "That's all I have to say about it... to YOU guys," it would have raised eyebrows, but not stupid-hurt-feelings-hackles, among the press corps.
  23. To be fair... there was not one question asked about Lindor bunting in the ninth, or any other in-game decision-making.
