  1. Mets were in a position to win both games, but you've got to bring your A-game here and the Mets haven't found it.
  2. And we're first-pitch swinging.
  3. They're bringing in Minter? Man, that's mocking.
  4. Braves. Braves, Braves, Braves.
  5. Harris II knows what to do.
  6. Yeah, Acuña looks like he might be a good player someday.
  7. All the dinky-assed hits of two innings earlier used up Scherzer's best stuff. He was mostly out of ammo in that last inning.
  8. Nope, he's still out there.
  9. Looks like MHII has knocked our man out of the game.
  10. You think the Braves are going to bank on the luxury of having d'Arnaud as their #2, or is going to be a Yankee by next week?
  11. =metirish post_id=127954 time=1686184651 user_id=72] Pete is day to day with wrist contusion X-ray negative

  14. That's a Nimmo plate appearance.
  15. https://twitter.com/WILPONSmustSELL/status/1666268350220050432 This kind of thing is what I see on Twitter, I know it's Twitter but that's where I'm seeing it, there seems to be a hard-core group of Braves fans that especially dislike Pete Dregs. The word The Met Man is looking for is dregs.

Is Jeremy Hefner or somebody walking around with an unresponsive limb? I think I read that they would be attaching the ligament to a part of the shoulder that may not be as strong due the earlier surgery. They would be drilling the new hole very close to the old hole and the tissue may not have matured. From that, I infer that this may make the new ligament not as stable or secure and be prone to injury with less stress later in life. Can any of the doctors here confirm that? Later UCL surgery stays in the vicinity of the elbow, and not the shoulder. What's attached isn't ligament tissue, but tendon tissue harvested from other parts of the body — usually the hip or the knee — to replace the damaged ligament. I have no doubt the surgery can fail. It's happened often enough, and the second surgery is more prone to failure. What I'm asking is why ashie would think the result of that failure would be, beyond the end of a pitching career, actual loss of arm function. Is there any evidence or history to suggest this?

  18. I can't offer much praise for the insights of Michael Wilbon. I guess he looks bright next to Tony Kornheiser. I'll give him that.
  19. Based on what I inferred from the booth chatter, not a drop.
  20. Hey, now. Cooperstown enshrines plaques. Canton enshrines busts. deGrom still has a shot at Canton. He can become a punter or something.
  21. Blub. Looking at Scherzer and Verlander now.
  22. Alonso has one homer tonight and three near misses.
  23. Well, this is the night McNeil forgets how to play baseball.
  24. Not that I agree with it. And not that it worked.
