BB-R defensive metrics don't get me very far. Rtot, Rdrs, Rtot/yr, Rdrs/yr are a step forward, but those Range Factor columns need to be bumped to the curb.

Whatever you think about what's left in Syndergaard's arm, what matters is whether he's better than the next guy for the next two months. Strange night for Quintana. The defense bailed him out when he got hit hard, but failed him when he got the ball he needed. McNeil saved about five runs with his glove.
