  1. Expanded rosters and universal DH, among other things.
  2. Austin Adams and the Mets are going to get another crack at each other this afternoon.
  3. =metirish post_id=166521 time=1723748563 user_id=72] Looks like Chris Christie is enjoying the game
  4. [bIGPURPLE]Tré Vien!![/bIGPURPLE]
  5. It's maddening to read granular proposed rule changes to fix what the guys making the rule changes largely broke with previous rule changes.
  6. It was only a matter of time on those walks by Quintana.
  7. It's really funny how the Grote/Harrelson patches are set on a base patch that never matches the uniform top.
  8. Vientos is the batter that the two-hole needs. Inspired lineup move by Mendoza.
  9. Gelof making an early run at the one-game LOB record.
  10. Gelof getting a second shot with the bases loaded and two outs.
  11. I don't generally like outlines on hat insigniae, and I hate it whenever the Mets do it, but that gold outline around the "A's" looks elegant.
  12. I realize that the top of the first inning is the top of the first inning, but with it 3-2 and two outs with the bases, I feel like that was the whole ballgame right there.
  13. Alonso has his best game in months and he's back in the five hole. Cool. Reward consistent arcs, rather than sudden sparks.
  14. Brandon Sproat's meteoric rise and Jett Williams mostly lost season has Brandon jumping to the top of recently published prospect rankings for the team. 15. Speaking of sharp, icy cheekbones.
  16. A blowout for each team in the first two games, and a third game featuring hit-and-miss pitchers going against hit-and-miss lineups. An interesting showdown, but probably a good chance that the team to score first won't have to do much looking back.
  17. Brandon Sproat reportedly looked sharper today, giving up one run in three innings, but exited after only 49 pitches following an ejection. The roof later fell in on Shintaro Fujinami and Matt Gage and Mets lost 12-2, their second blowout in a row. Brett Baty scored both runs, reaching on a walk and coming around for one, and homering for the second.
  18. Johnny Lunchbucket wrote: That was cool when they did that Network thing. There's no reason they couldn't on the gigantic CF screen This time with Cammie telling folks to poke their heads out the window. Mike still has those sharp, icy cheekbones.
  19. Lots of gloving in the ninth.
  20. Carlos Mendoza loaded his lineup with as many lefthanded hitters as he could get in there, and Nimmo, McNeil, and Gamel are the three Mets not in the hit column tonight.
  21. I'm not sure the technology exists to determine with certainty whether Bader was safe or out. That one had to be whatever the call on the field was.
  22. Frayed Knot wrote: This game seems like it should have more than a two run cushion. Adding to it real soon would be a peach of an idea. What do you say to four and counting for an idea?
  23. Bleday's throw could best be described as "disengaged."
  24. And there's one and the line moves up.
  25. Real soon is upon us with the bezes bloated, no outs, and a wild pitcher.
