    Jomboy with the breakdown of a hugely dramatic Little League game between New Jersey and Connecticut for the Metro Region championship.

    Washington unfortunately tops Texas (who used to be Washington), 6-0. They remain three games behind the fourth-/12th-place Nats. The two other teams within striking distance — Pittsburgh and Cincy — each pulled out one-run wins as well. All are playing AL teams, so their wins didn't even help take some competition down a peg.

    He's entered Pache for defense and then lifted him when his turn came around at the plate three times now (I think), so I imagine he has thought it through. The upside is it gets multiple innings of Pache's defense late-ish in the game. I assume he sees Pache as, say, a 9.5 out there, while Robert is more of a 7.8. The downside is it uses two guys to replace one.
