1. Say, do you remember? The Dodgers and the Mets?
2. I watched this defensive highlight reel from July of this year, as Iglesias and Torrens really emerged as something more than flashes in the pan, but my real takeaway was how much of the Mets best defense was played behind Sean Manaea.
3. I don't think we know enough to make conclusions about bias. I do know that the giving of the award based on reputation is something they've long since sought to curtail and have factored the available data in to the process. Rather than merely survey managers, as in the past, a complicated evaluation including managers, coaches, and data rankings provided by SABR (accounting for 25% of the tabulation) is taken into account. I can't speak for what that SABR data includes, but The Fielding Bible ranks Luis Severino among the top defensive run savers in the National League at his position, while Lindor is much lower down among his peers (who are led by Masyn Winn, I think).
4. If Roy Cohn or some other anti-American menace was running in 1984, I might have been fool enough to put the Mets first, but I'd like to believe my Dad would be all, "Some other time, Son."
5. This "analysis" by these three guys is all over the place. They're even kind of calling bullshit on each other.
6. Vientos sure sounds like a New Yorker.

8. That's what you get for all your gambling activity, Mookie!
9. I want that strike three on Winker from the beginning of the game back.
10. I'm not sure I've had strong feelings one way or the other about Mike Sarbaugh, but he earned his ring with that send right there.
11. The Mets are hitting triple-digit speed here.
12. =Methead post_id=175873 time=1728948095 user_id=61] Can I get an Amen
13. Let's score 30. And then 10 more.

19. There's a good chance that the eighth inning will be more challenging than the ninth here. Seventh isn't exactly in hand yet either. Something to think about when deploying bullpen resources.
20. =Fman99 post_id=175814 time=1728943936 user_id=86] NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
