  1. I would be highly tempted to run Siri for Soto here, but probably not.
  2. Stay in your lane, Soto. Do not chase. Alonso is behind you and hot.

He was already warmed up to get some work in with the off day tomorrow so it was logical to bring him in once the HR happened. iow, he was coming into the bottom 8th no matter what happened.
  4. What an inning by Torrens!!!
  5. Maybe it was a bad decision to let Baty practice that play with Lucas Duda.
  6. And that was one too many pitches to hit.
  7. Alonso getting some pitches to hit.
  8. The chestplate lettering on these road grays wouldn't be that bad, but they are so dwarfed by the numbers.
  9. The hitting will likely come around, but this may be something like the defense we can expect to see.
  10. The umpire had to "do a little Fred Asparagus"? How is there a Keith-ism I have not heard before?
  11. Marlins burning their lone lefty in the sixth against the leadoff batter. That is something.
  12. Hayden, that smelled triply. I get why you stopped, of course.
  13. Nimmo seems like he has committed to letting that beard grow.
  14. Roger loves them elliptical thread titles.
  15. ZIPs, or whatever forecaster I used, had NO confidence (0.8 fWARs?) that this guy would repeat his modest breakthrough of 2024, but with his Torren-sial start to 2025, (.364 / .417 / .818 // 1.235), he is already making fools out of them. is that sustainable? Well, that would be a tough kite to fly. But if he he catches 46.4% of would-be base-stealers, as he did last season, it probably doesn't have to be. But so much is unwritten, and that is why we have these threads, so you can color in all the blank spots. 16. Look at all the J's! Joe, Jeff, John, Jack, Jim ... Jennings — it was clearly a desirable attribute for a few years there.
  17. Joe Girardi was number nine, but his testosterone-fueled style was too attractive to the Yankees, who invoked their eminent domain rights and seized him up.
  18. Number 14 is Ozzie Guillen. [FIMG=300]https://www.mearsonlineauctions.com/ItemImages/000138/122472a_lg.jpeg[/FIMG]
  19. Number 11 is Jeff Torborg of the Plainfield Torborgs.
