Murphy batting second wouldn't've hacked at that first pitch.

Trade Dickey is untouchable. He owns this neighborhood. Hookers, cops. Shit, he owns the mailman.
-
That was anti-climactic.
-
He's the man who made the yo-yo.

Anywutz, tying run on deck, babies.

Well, I don't connect to the internet in the shower.

The problem is not that our pitchers aren't mean and threatening enough. It's 3-1 in the seventh. That's where we were two nights ago.

Vic Sage wrote: Murph and Valdy should be flipped in the order Seems too obvious, don't it.

An Ike Davis homer followed by a David Murphy single really underscores that Murphy is hitting in the wrong part of the lineup.
-
And Espinosa ends a 10-pitch at-bat with a homer of his own. Hefner's beard is losing.
-
Morse homers and one more day in which our team doesn't get the early lead.

It's Strasburg vs. Hefner, man. Bro? Bro! I'm totally stoked!

"Trade Dickey" sounds like a notorious pimp. [list:331grffy]"Jesus, what happened to that guy's face?" "Went up against Trade Dickey, that's what." "And he let him live?" "Trade Dickey likes his victims walking around. Show everybody his handiwork."[/list:u:331grffy]

Sure, it's just funny how quickly policy changes. Is he giving you value on the dollar? Well, as much as Reyes, more or less, and a whole lot more than Heath Bell.
-
Two different definitions of nice there. I don't think the Mets problem is that they're too nice, or that Valdespin's success is linked to a lack of kindness or a surfeit of hostility or attitude.
-
So, Reggie Jackson gets his number retired and Winfield gets his reshuffled. Nice.

Or Murphy.
-
"The Ancient Mariner" is taken, right? Jamie Moyer or Edgar Martinez or somebody? Besides, would Sterling really incorporate a nickname that acknowledges a player's identification with another team?
-
Whoah. Can Ichiro play third?

Ha! You li-ike Cho-oate! You li-ike Cho-oate! Why don't you marry him?!

Nymr83 wrote: Keep Dickey and Wright, the rest can go. Who else on this roster is going to get you back more than a minor league bullpen "prospect" or a couple of org guys? Keep Dickey so we can win 75 instead of 73 this year? 76 instead of 72 next year? No thanks. I'll take a prospect or 3 instead. R.A Dickey: four games better than Chris Schwinden over the course of a season. The race to quitting is really not something you want to win.

Just amazin' to commit overwhelmingly to Reyes and not Hanley. The Flushing grass musta looked mighty green from Florida. Or they have strong suspicions that Hanley will never be the MVP candidate (indeed, winner) they once had. Choate, though... who can really commit to Choate? He's the sort of guy that when a GM says, "The deal still feels a little light from your end --- can you throw in Choate?" and the other GM goes, "Oh, do we still have that guy?" He just floats out there, grows a goofy beard thing, and still nobody really thinks, "Oh, that guy is ours." He's like the Aaron Sele of LOOGys.

"Let's have a toast for the MFY-lovin' douchebags!"
