Lindor gots to remember how to corral those throws. By the way, that was worst part of my game as an infielder. Those throwdowns always got away from me.

Baty be good.

Gots to get Diaz up.

Not often you see a guy advance three runners with a sacrifice fly.

Let us make hay here. LOTTA HAY!

Six Mets have gone down like dominoes since that home run.

Well THAT is something. Dad gum it, SCORE SOME MORE!!

Dad gum it, just score.

I amn't cool with a Klondike ice cream polar bear mascot showing up behind home plate when Alonso comes to the plate.

It seems like Cleveland deals with the Mets frequently enough, but the only exie on their roster currently is Matt Festa who threw a single, unsuccessful inning as a Met in 2024. Sandy Alomar, Jr. serves as Guardian first base coach.

OE: Frayed Knottage totally beat me to the trigger on the IGT. Good work. Lefthander Sean Manaea looks to add more wins to his total and vowels to his name as he bumps up against the Guardians and Slade Cecconi, who, as best as we can discover, is related to neither Gavin Cecchini nor Noddy Holder. Four switchies in that Cleveland lineup. Always.

I do not think the Mets see the grass being greener. The Stearns era has been marked well by a propensity to get what they can out of short-term pitchers until younger options emerge. They believe in the work they've put into their development, and they populate the rotation with guys who won't get in the way when the developing guys show. It is fraught with risk, but I think that is what they are doing. Kelly can help any team, and he is a short-term commitment, but I imagine they did not like the long-term cost Arizona was wanting.

Sorry to hear how little upside there was to be had. I tend to think off-site event things like this need to be done in series, rather than a one-game one-off. Baseball is played in series, and having three games at stake gives everybody a high incentive to get it right. Another option is to set a race the same weekend, and sell package ticks.

I bet Gleyber Torres is happy to leave that title with his former teammate.

They have two guys coming back from injury and two guys pushing hard at Syracuse. I realize that those are different degrees of sub-optimal bets, but I get the idea that they were mostly happy with their options, as compared to what was available, and hope to get quality out of that quantity.

Vientos = tying run.

Well, it ain't like he saw one today.

If you're Stanek, I bet getting lifted for Luís Torrens is really not kewl.

Giants-fan young woman catches Dom Smitty foul ball. Is excited beyond belief, goes to pose for a selfy with her father and the ball, and a Mets fan offers to take the shot for them. Kewl. Sadly, Smitty knocks in a few RBIs, and Schmitty two more on a homer. Not kewl.

Smitty? Butto? Lucchesi? These betrayals will not stand.

Probably holds the Mets record for the shortest time between getting traded and getting a returning-hero scoreboard tribute.

Buttórayal!!

More comebacky!

Sadly, not a very comebacky inning.
