Let the doubters doubt. Mets first base prospect Dominic Smith smashed three hits Sunday in a win for High-A St. Lucie. Smith drove in four runs to cap off an incredible weekend. On Saturday, the 19-year-old belted an 11th-inning walk-off home run, his second blast in 215 career minor league games. Smith's three-hit day Sunday extended his hitting streak to 13 games. The 2013 first-round pick batted .276 with 23 RBI in the month of May. Let the believers believe.

The Nats have place Stephen Strasburg on the DL with neck tightness. While such a transaction may have been a terrifying report at one point, the Nats (like the Mets) have some built-in starter redundancy, and Strasburg has easily been the least effective starter on the team, and perhaps the least in the league.
