No, I think you misunderstand me. The Mets are going to be wearing a total of 1986 uniforms throughout the season. Blue tops and white pants. Black tops and gray pants. Orange socks. ORANGE SOCKS! The combinations will seem endless, with the team changing several times during a given game, but will in fact top out at 1,986.
