  1. You didn't make it to Bad Seed Rising?
  2. Behind Duda on my depth chart, I've got nothing but Flores.
  3. I may be a big enigma. But I'm a big enigma with over 100 career homers. And this is not insignificant, I also got me over 280 walks. I'm 12th on the team all time in the former category and could be seventh by the end of the season if my health cooperates. That ain't bad for a guy keeping the seat warm until somebody else needs to sit down, you know. And when it's time to move on, I'll probably do so in my quiet and unassuming way. But Mongo has a few more asses to kick before he leaves town. How many asses? This is unknown. Perhaps you can tell me. Hey, is that licorice? 4. I'm guessing because when the face of the game retires, he is invited to act as a semi-official ambassador for the game.
  5. John Cougar Lunchbucket wrote: Flew out to deep left. I'm literally looking at Mazz from both sides now. Very Steinbrennerian to send the best the Yankees have into the Mets exhibition matchup.
  6. I'm going it solo!!
  7. And he doubles home Granderson! It's 5-2!!
  8. Cespedes just fouled a Chapman pitch off his foot.
  9. Cespedes steals third with two outs and the team down by five. Yoenis being Yoenis. We may hear a lot of that.
  10. CESPEDES beats the shift TOO! If Duda pulls it off, it'll be a rare trifecta.
  11. Hey, Grandy just bounced one down the third-base line to beat the shift for a double. I mean, It's not going to dig them out of a 5-0 hole, but it HAS LONG-TERM IMPLICATIONS!
  12. I'm Stephen Matz, and I'm not getting it done. Mets are down 4-0 after an Alex Rodriguez two-run single. Six straight Yankees have reached beis. I blame Edgy who can't operate a calendar.
  13. Dillon Gee would like to know just what it is you're implying. [fimg=400:2j5u8r1h]http://41.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m7h2olQT9x1qddf08o1_1280.jpg[/fimg:2j5u8r1h]
  14. I went and used the loo and returned to realize the date was wrong was wrong.
  15. Royals dressing up for the opening series. [fimg=400:2l51zvdy]http://www.kansascity.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/for-petes-sake/99x6a2/picture67066617/ALTERNATES/FREE_640/Gold%20Jersey[/fimg:2l51zvdy]
  16. Matz takes the bump tonight. I'm laying 3-2 odds we'll hear tales of his admiration for the character Derek Jeter. FIGHT IT, STEVE!! [fimg=500:65e6vb3z]http://mediadownloads.mlb.com/mlbam/2015/06/29/images/mlbf_207560583_th_45.jpg[/fimg:65e6vb3z]
  17. Hey, I've been the best pitcher on this staff for two years, and I'm still not getting opening day. Oh, but you're old for a third-year pitcher. Oh, but you're a post-op surprise. Oh, but you never gave fanbois in Baseball America never got high minor league prospect rankings to drool over. Shut up. It makes me uncomfortable. All I do is deGrominate. And the rest of that is scarcely relevant and frankly kind of creepy. I intend to deGrominate further in 2016, and you can feel free to disagree. What do you think? 18. Dil is listed at 5'10", and he's certainly 2-4" shorter than the two men who flank him, but yeah, it's not a country that has produced a lot of NBA centers.
  19. No Pepsi, Coke.
  20. Listen, Buddy, I signed with the Mets to play some baseball and that's what I intend to do. But no, with all youse fickle fans, first it's "WAAA! He's not Cespedes! He's not good enough! The Mets are cheap!" Then it's all "WAAA!! Now that they got Cespedes, he costs too much! The Mets are too wasteful!" Stop it. You're embarrassing yourselves. I'm going to play baseball and try to outhit Chris Young. And I'm going to do it until they tell me to stop. How well do you think I'll do it?
  21. Dilson Herrera, released from camp to play qualifying games for the 2017 World Baseball Classic, hits a go-ahead homer to give his team a big win over Panama, qualifying Colombia for their first-ever WBC berth. Also STRAIGHT OUTA SAINT LUCIE was Mets minor leaguer Nabil Crismatt, who started for Colombia and threw the first 3.1 innings, striking out four. HERO. Here's Dilson celebrating with his teammies after pounding Team Spain 9-2 a few days ago. He's got the good face. Got a little Jackie Robinson in him.
  22. [fimg=90]https://pbs.twimg.com/profile_images/707599032303095809/EaicAK6v_400x400.jpg[/fimg] Ty Kelly ✔‎@tykelly11 Does Bartolo have a cologne? If not, how? 1:31 PM - 19 Mar 2016 17 17 Retweets 45 45 likes We're waaay ahead of you, funny man.
  23. Mean, angry fan presumes to speak for everybody, film at 11.
  24. Chris Young lays the sort of big tag on a lefty that he was meant to do as a Met. Lead goes.
  25. Syndi has really grown his mane out this winter.
