  1. Wright probably not available to pinch-hit tonight.
  2. Hey, Campbell!! Perhaps saving his big league existence!
  3. Harsh medicine for the rookie.
  4. [fimg=500]http://golf.swingbyswing.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/chevy-chase-and-rodney-dangerfield-caddyshack.png[/fimg] Everybody knows you're an Ace, Ty.
  5. Ty Kelly, your moment is now.
  6. Mets pitchers have gotten the defense on their side tonight anyhow.
  7. Guys Who'd You Have to Try Really Hard to Root for Even in a Mets Uni But Who'd Probably Be Available For a Song: Teixera Nick Swisher
  8. This is the ballgame here, Mateo.
  9. What do you think of that home run action, Marc Carig?
  10. Marc Carig in the booth to share his thoughts.
  11. What do you mean we? My feed says the Nats are batting. Hey, Jon Niese, that infield defense you were so excited about? I brought it with me. Neil Walker
  12. Walking Rendon... not as good a sign.
  13. Striking out Daniel Murphy is a heckuva good sign, no? I mean, it's not like striking out Ichiro, but it may be the next best thing.
  14. I'll bet he had Terry Collins as a minor league manager at some point.
  15. Well, after Felicity Smoak, yeah.
  16. Joel Sherman reporting that reps for James Loney (.333 / .368 / .417 // .784 for the Padres' AAA team in El Paso) are reaching out to the Mets. He apparently has an opt-out clause that allows for such tampering. HOLYSHIT!JAMESLONEY!HOLYSHIT!
  17. Other namey names we might hear over the coming weeks: Chris Carter, Brewers Matt Adams, Cardinals Brandon Moss, Cardinals (these two are kinda redundant for the Cards) Byung-ho Park, Twins (Thinking big! Will cost you!) Pedro Alvarez, Orioles (currently filling in at third for the O's, but could be expendable in a few weeks when the Mets have a better idea where they are. Knows the National League.) Logan Morrison, Rays Mitch Moreland, Rangers Justin Smoak, Blue Jays Felicity Smoak, Team Arrow Mark Reynolds, Roxx
  18. Well, sure, if you're banking on that batting average being locked in. But you'd be fishing for more, using him as a part-timer and a pinch-hit threat when Duda gets back. I'm not advocating, certainly, just scratching my chin.
  19. Guys you could get whom you wouldn't want: Prince Fielder (does that contract suck or what? Signed for another 5 years!) Pujols (signed for even more $$, even longer) Howard ($25 Mill + $10M buyout) Guys Who'd You Have to Try Really Hard to Root for Even in a Mets Uni But Who'd Probably Be Available For a Song: Teixera Votto is off to an horrific start, but his contract goes for another eight years. On the other hand, as time passes, it might start to seem more reasonable. Even if the Phils pick up 75%, Howard remains untouchable?

  21. In fairness, Duda and Murphy played plenty of first base throughout the minor leagues. I'm sure we'll see more of Herrera soon enough.
  22. Dusty going with the A-List: [fimg=100:2a2x7y9x]https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/a/a3/Washington_Nationals_logo.svg/1024px-Washington_Nationals_logo.svg.png[/fimg:2a2x7y9x] [*:2a2x7y9x]Revere, cf[/*:m:2a2x7y9x] [*:2a2x7y9x]Werth, lf[/*:m:2a2x7y9x] [*:2a2x7y9x]Harper, rf[/*:m:2a2x7y9x] [*:2a2x7y9x]Moiphy, 2b[/*:m:2a2x7y9x] [*:2a2x7y9x]Zimmerman, 1b[/*:m:2a2x7y9x] [*:2a2x7y9x]Rendon, 3b[/*:m:2a2x7y9x] [*:2a2x7y9x]Ramos, c[/*:m:2a2x7y9x] [*:2a2x7y9x]Espinosa, ss[/*:m:2a2x7y9x] [*:2a2x7y9x]Strasboig, sp[/*:m:2a2x7y9x][/list:o:2a2x7y9x]

Only Granderson and Flores, sorta survives.
  24. Blemishing Stra$burg's record would be a desirable outcome. It would dash faith in his invincibility, and so chip away at morale.
