  1. Did anyone play this one out electronically?
  2. So, either I'm wrong (as I often am) about Seagirt being out of options, or he has to go through waivers.
  3. All this Coronavirus is really delaying Alonso's climb up the Mets all-time homerun list.
  4. Updated Mets starting pitcher depth chart, not counting Seth Lugo and Robert Gsellman. Jake deGrom Marcus Stroman Rick Porcello Steven Matz* Michael Wacha Corey Oswalt Harol Gonzalez David Peterson* Stephen Gonzalves Erasmo Ramirez Walker Lockett Pedro Payano Franklyn Kilomé http://companion.thecranepool.net/recent-transactions-blog/gods-bleed-too[fimg=400]https://metsrostercentral.files.wordpress.com/2020/03/transaction-3-25-2020-forum.jpg[/fimg] https://metsrostercentral.wordpress.com/current-mets-coaching-staff/https://metsrostercentral.files.wordpress.com/2020/02/view-mets-mlb-coaching-staff.png> https://metsrostercentral.wordpress.com/current-roster/https://metsrostercentral.files.wordpress.com/2020/02/view-mets-mlb-roster-1.png> http://companion.thecranepool.net/recent-transactions-bloghttps://metsrostercentral.files.wordpress.com/2020/03/visit-blog-button.png>
  5. They should've taken the picture on motorcycles. In leather. Barefoot, for some reason. [FIMG=700]https://i.pinimg.com/originals/6d/88/df/6d88dfae6c73ccfdbe1316ca2d3a315c.jpg[/FIMG]
  6. Hey, at least Syndergaard has a UCL to tear. So there's that.
  7. Carl is our man. I may have to dock Ben Grimm his Koosman points for thinking that's Dom Smith. Asdrubal Cabrera looks more like Everett than Smitty does. Steve Evans | Clay Bryant | Carlos Lee | George Stone | Grant Jackson | Carl Everett Ken Griffey | Firpo Marberry | Bob Barr | Brad Radke | Reggie Sanders | Jerry Koosman This evening's photo is Metless, so we'll pause for a word from our sponsor.
  8. Well, there are six guys in the photo. And three of those five pitchers underwent Tommy John surgery before the photo was taken. It's the nature of the beast. Snapshots last but their subjects don't.
  9. Ashie's all about moving on. It's his thingaling.
  10. No Tony, but correct on Pete Varnish. Way to go!! Matty McIntyre | Tom Gordon | Pete Harnisch | Jon Lieber | Murry Dickson | Geronimo Berroa Albert Belle | Jim Colburn | Wilson Ramos | Hippo Vaughn | Harold Reynolds | Jay Payton Two Mets here, in uniform, along with one guy who shares the name of a Met. https://metsrostercentral.files.wordpress.com/2020/03/screen-shot-2020-03-24-at-4.44.43-pm.png>
  11. Man, this seemed like it was overdue. No less sucky, but ... . Wait! Silver Lining! There's now room on the roster for out-of-options Paul Sewald!
  12. Johnny Lunchbucket wrote: Ramos You da bombos. Harold Reynolds never played for the Mets, but I think he spent abut 6 days as an analyst on SNY. I can give you a point on that. One more Met from Group E. https://metsrostercentral.files.wordpress.com/2020/03/screen-shot-2020-03-24-at-12.31.09-pm.png>
  13. Yes to Payday. No to Druby.
  14. Three Mets here. One answer per post. https://metsrostercentral.files.wordpress.com/2020/03/screen-shot-2020-03-24-at-12.31.09-pm.png>
  15. Yeah, man, that beard even seemed inked in live on tv. Cesar Geronimo | Carson Bigbee | Doc Crandall | Fred Lynn | Luis Polonia | Jerry Remy Dante Bichette | Chris Sale | Lou Brock | José Bautista | Noah Syndergaard | Yank Robinson
  16. I missed that. Bully to him. I guess he was playing for for Columbus or Charlotte or Chatanooga. Or maybe it was his offseason barnstoming team, Clippard's Clippers. Group E should be fast. Two Mets. https://metsrostercentral.files.wordpress.com/2020/03/screen-shot-2020-03-24-at-8.11.37-am.png>
  17. HOLY FUCKING SHIT you're good. We're still missing a Group B Met: https://metsrostercentral.files.wordpress.com/2020/03/screen-shot-2020-03-23-at-8.17.27-am.png> Get that and we can move on.
  18. Benjamin Grimm wrote: The third guy on the top row looks like he should be wearing one of those hats with a cup of beer on either side. Not only are you correct, but you've identified the first of our two mystery Mets! Only, you did it without identifying identifying him, so you get no points, but I bet it feels pretty good! =Fman99 post_id=33966 time=1585047586 user_id=86]I think group D includes Tony Clark, ex Met and current MLB labor honcho, second row, fourth photo.
  19. #1 is Alex Gonzalez. Not that one, the other one. The Blue Jay is Ernie Whitt. But BML wins the points with his peerless identification of Jimmy Piersall, seen here in a tan that would make Phillip Evans proud. Still missing a Met in Group B. If it helps, the photo shows him with out his distinctive eyewear. Another hint: Like Steve Reed, he was a deadline addition who spent approximately 1/3 of a season with the team. Let's review C: https://metsrostercentral.files.wordpress.com/2020/03/screen-shot-2020-03-23-at-3.43.58-pm.png> Alex Gonzalez | Eddie Watt | Ernie Witt | Stan Williams | Mark Mulder | Travis Jackson Carl Hubble | Bill Freehan | Goose Goslin | Russ Meyer | Jimmy Piersall | Sam Leever And let's introduce Group D a contingent with two Mets, for your guessing pleasure: https://metsrostercentral.files.wordpress.com/2020/03/screen-shot-2020-03-23-at-10.30.54-pm.png>
  20. And only one Met in Group D: https://metsrostercentral.files.wordpress.com/2020/03/screen-shot-2020-03-23-at-3.43.58-pm.png>
  21. There you go. We have a member of the Reed Section coming forward to accept his prize. We still have an unidentified Met in Group C.
  22. I think the big deal was that a non-green-screen movie made a big profit in actual brick-and-mortar movie houses. In 2019! I think that it being a traditional genre — aka, no big deal — made it even more remarkable. No green screens and the only A-lister in it doesn't really appear until the second half.
  23. A pair of clues on that guy: spent half a season as a Met and wore a fuzzy, well-trimmed goatee during this period, and I think, for most of his career. That caterpillar mustache wasn't his usual look.
  24. It kind of looks like him, but I don't think it is, as he never managed the Diamondbacks.
  25. Not Wiggum, but you're on to something. Still missing our fourth Met in Group A, and our second Met and forum member in Group B. Lunchmeats swept Group C very nicely.
