For this Met, his glorious facial whiskers were pretty much his birthright. https://metsrostercentral.files.wordpress.com/2020/03/beard.gif>
  2. [FIMG=450]https://content.sny.tv/assets/images/1/9/0/310966190/cuts/750x422/cut.jpg[/FIMG] Gee it be. Dillon was a facial-hair guy. No big whoop. The testosterone that made him a big league pitcher also took from his scalp and gave to his chin. And other places. The man could make body hair grow. But some crazy shit happened around 2012. Some say he turned a witch disguised as a beggar from his door. Others say he spoke ill of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C4%8Ch%C3%A1paCapa, the Lakota beaver god. More common is the far simpler notion that he lost a bet. To Pete Rose. What all agree on is that a small woodland mammal apparently crawled right up on to his face one night, attached itself, and died. What he was left with was enough to get him a spot as guest villain on one of BML's Bat-Man cards. The Buono Tutti Barba, it became known as, and it was Dillon's close companion through 2012 into 2013. It even co-starred with him on PlayStation3. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pj0ZLC8MChc/T4TtdI-QCKI/AAAAAAAAC98/tQ-KUyTvcJk/s640/MLB-12-The-Show.jpg> Despite the beard, or because of it, Dillon had his most successful run during this period, making him the Mets unlikely opening day starter in 2014, a role which he blessedly took on with a face as hairless as the ass of a Lithuanian toddler. Though, maybe the beard had some powers. The Mets took the loss that afternoon, one of only three losses in their last 14 openers. Dillon would miss 1/3 of the season with injury and would never pitch effectively for the team again. Sometimes, you shouldn't fuck with the beard.

This guy had a beard through most of his Mets tenure — a normal beard that just grows on your cheek and chin and in front of your ears. Apart from keeping his neck clean, he didn't do a lot of border-work or sculpting. It was just a beard. But somewhere in there, he decided to get ... weird. His beard begged for a nickname of its own.
  4. [fimg=400]https://metsmerizedonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/dominic-smith.jpg[/fimg] Buck, you're killing me. Everybody knows Feliciano uses his left arm to throw, not his right. The guy just above you just wrote that he eliminated the Perpetual One based on handedness.

You get, um, 12,000 points. But if you get something wrong, you might win a fake home edition.

For instance, can you identify the beard below? https://metsrostercentral.files.wordpress.com/2020/03/screen-shot-2020-03-17-at-10.59.05-pm.png>
  9. That's great stuff. Man, wouldn't it have been great if "Home of Dana Brand" was the first association that popped into people's heads when Newtown, Connecticut was mentioned?
  10. [FIMG=450]https://i.ytimg.com/vi/tlghGGM5I1I/maxresdefault.jpg[/FIMG] Jason Pridie it is, Greg. Jason may have been a AAAA player, but in his day, he achieved MVP status in the Wifey Watch thread. He and Bianca have since been joined by four kids in their family and Jason is currently pulling down a palindromic $7,227 per year as a https://govsalaries.com/pridie-jason-3551689firefighter in Queen's Creek, Arizona. Great work, beardwatchers! Let's pick this up after dinner on Name! Those! Mets! BEARDS!
  11. [fimg=400]https://content.sny.tv/assets/images/6/7/2/306617672/cuts/750x422/cut.jpg[/fimg] Excellent work, a prominent beard though that might have been for a time. Here's a particularly challenging contest, for beaucoup fake points, as we present you with a beard that has been defaced. Hayes while your opponents just stubble along. Here's about as well-sculpted a Metsbeard as you'll find. You couldn't make a better beard with three hours, a magnet, and a box of iron filings. https://www.nj.com/resizer/YtFB8ZJI3b5omQqr63TlZ6g1b0E=/450x0/smart/arc-anglerfish-arc2-prod-advancelocal.s3.amazonaws.com/public/MR4J2D2CYFHQJBGN7VFCV3I6GY.JPG>
  13. 3 is Kirk? Correct!! Johnny Lunchbucket wrote: Is #1 Vic Black? Also a factual. Points all around! Dominic Smith? This would be true if the question was "Who am I?" but since it's not, YOU get a copy of our Name Those Mets Beards! board game, the game where whisker wisdom leads to big points! Fuck if I know. And you get a copy of the far-more-talked-about board game Fuck if I Know, the game where good answers lead to good times! And now onto round two! For 600 points, name this Met, most recently seen auditioning for the role of Mr. French in a Family Affair set to air this fall on Hulu! 16. [FIMG=450]https://a.espncdn.com/i/headshots/mlb/players/full/33218.png[/FIMG] OH! Our first two contestants have come up hairless! Hint: All of these guys played for the team at an overlapping juncture and likely sported their beards at the same time!
  17. Welcome to Quarantine Theater, where we're playing our favorite game show: Name! ... Those! ... Mets! ... Beards! And now here's our host, Dom Smith! https://securea.mlb.com/mlb/images/players/head_shot/642086.jpg> Thank you, Edgy! A warm welcome to our studio audience and those playing at home from all of us at Name That Mets Beard, where the competition is always hairy, and when you lose, it's never by a close shave! Let's get right to it and introduce our first challenge and ... it's an NTMB Triple!. For a big score ... name these Mets beards! https://metsinpeace.files.wordpress.com/2015/02/10171107_623077547792019_8988166225152617654_n.jpg>
  18. Lloyd is a journalist with father issues, and a crappy father to go along with it. Fred is a television host so alternately endearing and annoying in his earnestness that he's almost impossible for cynical Lloyd to see as genuine. Fate throws them together and the clash of the earnest and the cynical forces them both to confront their relationships. 19. Will the clubs be training together? Are the clubs currently training together? It would be kind of goofy if the seasons open with regular season games played in spring training style, with 40-man rosters and short pitch counts and a parade of one-inning relievers and universal DH-ing and floating taxi squads for road trips and shit. But I guess that's possible.

  22. Who is the Mets 2020 winner of the Johnny Murphy Award (is it still even called that?) for the outstanding rookie in his first MLB Spring Training camp? Mazeika has hit everything he's been thrown, but I don't know if this is his first camp or not. He appeared in games last spring, but I'm not sure if that was as a camper or a floater. Johneshwy Fargas isn't eligible. Neither is Stephen Gonsalves. I'm going for either Mazeika or David Peterson. Don't drop the ball on Johnny Murphy, Mets!
  23. Fifty or more people? Damn, this wouldn't have been a problem for the Mets in 1979.
  24. When famed and wealthy crime novelist Harlan Thrombey dies in an apparent suicide, celebrated private detective Benoit Blanc is dispatched by an anonymous client to his family of selfish, awful, and conniving offspring to see if foul play was involved. Director Rian Johnson returns us to the world of the big-house mystery and the more-broad-than-deep portrayals by the ensemble cast that come with the program. 25. He seems like a real insidious guy. His website, which has expired, claims he's currently the mental skills coach for the Texas Rangers, although their site doesn't list him. His LinkedIn site says the same thing, and pictures him in a Rangers hat. He's also listed as a volunteer assistant coach for the University of Houston Cougars Golf Team. None of that has interrupted his decades of private practice. Then again, for all I know, he's a peach. OE: While the Rangers may appear as his current employer atop his LinkedIn profile, the résumé part ends that tenure at 2010
