Here we go Loup de Loup with the lead on the line. My problem with Familia is that neither of his old backbreaking out pitches is there. So he got ahead 0-2 and still had to be perfect.
I like how far the thread in the swirly serif in the Phillies' P pops out from their hats further than the thread in any other insignia. It's like a bubble of paint.
No, it's Caveman Jacob Barnes. This is what happens when half the MRC21 staff calls in sick with Stockholm syndrome. Presumably Tarpley goes back down today, but no announcement has been made. For those keeping score, (1) Tarpley got his Neil Allen on in #46, and (2) if he goes down today, you can add him to the Great List of Phantom Mets, wherever that resides.
Erasmo is living his best alternative life as an Alternatiger at Detroit's alternative training site. He's, like, the Rick Springfield of Major League Baseball, looking in the mirror all the time, wondering what folks don't see in him.
I like (A) Anthony DiComo plugging traditional tabloids, despite working for a digital outlet — somebody should get him on board early to help promote the Tabloid Cover Derby. I like ( that somebody, somewhere, thinks an Alan Parsons Project reference is just the sort of marketing hook in 2021 that's going to move the merchandise.
Phils have shown very little in the way of defense — big ticket imports Realmuto and Harper excepted. And even Harper putzed Nido's double into a triple. The Mets don't need to be imitating McNeil's half-swings, but they need to put a little bit more in play. I hate the games where they strike out 14 times believing they're one swing away from the big three-run homer. And with Wheels on the mound, that sort of game seems to be looming.
=LWFS post_id=60810 time=1618367547 user_id=84] What in the Luis Rojas is this shit? If you were going to pull the pitcher in the top of the 7th, why didn't you hit for the pitcher in the BOTTOM OF THE SIXTH
So, I hope you kid pitchers at home are getting the message. If you want to get a chance at a complete game, for God's sake, go down like a chump at the plate.
