1. Caveman is maybe finding himself?
2. J.D. is a two-way threat tonight.
3. Yeah, I think they made only slightest feint at re-signing him beyond the qualifying offer. I guess they were jonesing for some Anthony Kay.
4. Let's make Arriettawalks hurt as much as Walkerwalks.
5. Taijuan is peeing on his own floor.
6. I thought he was a second prize for losing Murphy.
7. Ah, crap way to give up the first run.
8. Big huh-whiff of Happ. Let's get out #3 and then score 50.
9. Double hitlessness through 2 1/2
10. Thirty-three Mets homers in only 186 games. Did his American duty by playing poorly for the Yankees at the end of his career.
11. It's also a squishier ball. Eyeball witness tells me whatever they did is having an effect. Also, that was a really good pitch to whack that McCann just flew to center on with two on.
12. Jay Bruce, pick up the courtesy phone.
13. Young Bruce was also widely recognized for flashing a game-changing arm as well. Watch him pants Johnny Monell.

15. One humble request: It would he'p if you put a link on your grafix.
16. It was the last game of the season I think, over the Mets, and to his credit, I think he not only reached five times, but against four different pitchers. Back surgery robbed him of most of the next two seasons. He played four more years in the minors after that before hanging them up. There was a third Paciorek brother named Jim who played a season with the Brewers before putting together a decent career in Japan.
17. Álex Treviño had a brother named Bobby who was 12 years older than him and had a brief run with the 1968 Angels: https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/t/trevibo01.shtmlhttps://www.baseball-reference.com/players/t/trevibo01.shtml In my head, he liked to play golf with Adrian Garrett and Garin Cecchini. And no list of Mets siblings is complete without the greatest one-game career in history: https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/p/paciojo01.shtmlhttps://www.baseball-reference.com/players/p/paciojo01.shtml

19. I think it was the 2002 post-season, because (if I recall correctly) you tried to engage by asking her if she preferred Shinjo or Marvin Bernard in center. It was only then you realized how drunk she was, and like many intoxicated folks being asked even mildly challenging questions, she got the idea that you were trying to fuck with her, and she spent the rest of the evening shooting you dirty looks or flat out telling you she didn't like you one bit.
20. That was a really fun post-season in 2002, even though the Angels came out on top.

But it stands to reason that there were more than a few who got a stay of execution until activity could restart, and they could get back on the field and show what they couldn't do. It's really a shame for everybody who was rooting for Malky in the 2021 Best Name in the Organization Showdown.
22. That was back when you were bitter about the chick in the J.T. Snow t-shirt.
23. Crazy Theory: Brodie Van Wangenen got into the GM game in order to make the Robinson Canó trade (or a deal like it), convince the Wilpons that it would pay for itself, break whatever remained of their bank, and drive them out of the game — allowing junior partner Steve Cohen to jump in with billions to spend. And then he gets back into agent game, where Cohen could kick some of that back to him.
24. Mets had to move some salary to take on that much salary. Some.
25. Coming off a mostly dominant start against the Phillies, Taijuan Walker is looking to break the 90-pitch glass ceiling against the Cubs. Jake Arrieta, back with Chicago after an embarrassing and gross three-year affair in Philadelphia, opposes.
