  1. Mike Trout and his 1090 OPS hit the IL for "six to eight weeks " with a calf strain.
  2. Imagine how good our pitching would be if we got even ONE borderline call so far tonight?
  3. Edgy MD wrote: Johneshwy Fargas seemed to hit one as far as he could and the leftfielder didn't have to move. He didn't move on Villar's ball either.
  4. Lindor hasn't hit a ball in a week as hard as Hunter's single right there.
  5. He'll be sure to watch VERTIGO while he's there.
  6. Never fulfilled his promise as the 10th overall draft pick and 2nd HS pick that year out of Asheville NC (behind #1 overall J. Upton) or ever really nailed down a full-time job at any of his numerous stops across 14 seasons. Now 34 y/o, he's kind of OK at everything which makes him a logical target considering our current circumstances. Annoyingly, he had his best power production in his half-season with the Yanx a few years back.
  7. Not to be confused with a GLAAD lesion which is an entirely separate injury.
  8. We should have a poll to guess the two injuries of the day.
  9. MLB HR Leader? I'll give you a clue, he's a pitcher. Shohei Otani just hit his 13th of the season Clubbed a ball that looked like it was over his head.
  10. Edgy MD wrote: Acuña swinging 2-0 there was indefensible. It's not like he was hitting in front of the zMVP as the tying run or anything ... oh wait! And then the next two go down on first pitches.
  11. Edgy MD wrote: Johneshwy is 26 1/2 but he looks 19. But what kind of scoring makes that a double? Bad bounce took it past Acuna. Right call IMO
  12. Edwin's got a tall task in front of him. 1-2-3 in the order
  13. May took some hard knocks that inning, but survived mostly OK
  14. You can't stop Tomas Nido, you can only hope to contain him.
  15. Nice no-fuss inning by Jay O. Reese
  16. 'Game delayed to clean up blood' is not a phrase you want to hear.
  17. Bringing the infield in could jack Lindor up to a .230 hitter
  18. =Fman99 post_id=64493 time=1621299119 user_id=86] How does every fucking opponent with an ERA of 6+ put this lineup into Operation Shutdown? I'm about to throw a fit.
  19. Weak pop up, K, weak grounder IOW: a typical day at the office for Francisco Lindor
  20. Yeah, I'm a little more worried about whether Lindor is ever going to do something other than K or pop up than I am about McCann
  21. So is Fargas that good a defensive CF or do they just prefer Pillar's arm in RF?
  22. Perhaps bidding against the Mets for one of those, or other, spare OF parts is the Yanquis: Aaron Hicks to the IL yesterday (wrist), Giancarlo Stanton to the IL today (quad) One of their spare parts, Mike Tauchman who, in 2019 was out-OPS'ing Bryce Harper for much of the season (both finished at 127 OPS+) after the Yanx opted not to pursue Harper as a FA the previous winter, was traded three weeks ago after just 14 ABs in a move they'd probably want back right about now. Also, Father Time seems to finally be catching up to Brett Gardner -- 37 y/o with a 38 OPS+ thru 89 PAs -- and mercurial OF prospect Clint Frazier has some pop but is currently hitting .155 and is often a defensive adventure in corner spots much less as a candidate to replace Hicks in CF
