  1. Piece of cake!
  2. Top of the order for the Marlins vs Loup with the tying run on deck ... so this one isn't over yet.
  3. Never seen a guy so happy to be thrown out at home.

  5. Now plate these next two guys !!!
  6. Game is on the line ... but at least we have Wil Tovar and Khalil Lee coming up. Anyone have that sentence in their predictions as this season started?
  7. I wasn't planning on staying up late or drinking tonight ... and yet here i am at 11:30 on my third beer.
  8. We can't possibly lose on this AB, can we?
  9. That was a heckuva play by the Marlins. They definitely worked on that one at some point and the funkiness of Cimber's delivery made it tougher to read.

My guess is that it's over 50% but I don't know that. I was curious too, so I poked around and found a Fangraphs article analyzing last season. Looks like there were 212 extra half-innings last year, and at least one run was scored in 120 of them. About what I expected. It also doesn't bode well for us if we can't score here
  11. It's amazing how often the 2021 Mets get hits w/RiSP that manage not to score runs.
  12. Back to the top of the order and at least a couple of bona-fide major league hitters in the lineup ... plus Lindor as well!

  16. Coming JMcC, get back on our good side.
  17. You can't stop Wil Tovar, you can only hope to contain him.
  18. And we go to Extra Inning[CROSSOUT]s[/CROSSOUT] (usually singular these days thanks to beer league softball rules)
  19. Don't know if they didn't call it [the infield fly] or if Randazzo simply didn't say so. Gary would have said yea or nay.
  20. How 'bout NOT losing via walk-off tonight?
  21. So other than the home run Mrs. Lincoln ... Six outs / Six K's from the relievers who followed Stroman
  22. That's got to be at least the fourth sub-ten pitch half-inning the Mets have had tonight, and maybe more than that.
  23. Getting more than three hits in a game would be a good idea also.
  24. So this Marlins team has Jazz Chisolm, who swings, and Zach Pop whom they hope has perfect pitch. And that might be Joe Easylistening warming up in the pen. Fortunately no infielders have taken a bad Hop off their Hip. Rock Raines could not be reached for comment.
