Was watching a Braves game recently -- Chip Carey, Jeff Francouer, Tom Glavine -- when the 7-inning topic came up, and both Francouer and Glavine said the same thing: 'would have hated it as a player, love it as an announcer' ... and neither of them is anywhere near as old and curmudgeonly as Keith. And even Gary said he likes the "drama" of the 7-inning DH's. He's not so keen on the Xtra rules or the DH but if main-streamers like him are on board for L.L. DH's (already used throughout the minors) then there's probably not a lot of insider opposition. And I'll get up on my soap box once again to say how this whole thing is just another manifestation of them now being able to get games completed in under 3 hours. Get those things back to even within shouting distance of 2-1/2 and many of these issues go away.
