  1. We don't have a heart of the order.
  2. Peraza and the top in bottom 9 Let's just hope that there's still just a one run deficit when we get there.
  3. Runner is safe at second (via a challenge which should not have been allowed) and now one AB (and ten minutes) later we can strand him there.
  4. Edgy MD wrote: So, Phillies bullpen, guys! Yes, and you KNOW we're scoring two more runs tonight. No more than two of course, but definitely two.
  5. And, once again, we're over three hours in a low-scoring game and not yet to the bottom of the 8th
  6. They hit Sac Flies with bases loaded, we hit GiDPs
  7. Fukkin' sum-bitch!! If there's a perfect spot to hit it so as to guarantee an easy GiDP we manage to find it. The grounder to Goldschmidt the other day was the most recent example.
  8. =Fman99 post_id=78094 time=1631925540 user_id=86]Jeff McNeil sucks

  10. Is the Polar Burger made with ground seal? Seems to me that it should be.

  13. OK, so this series is more or less last-stand-ville. I was thinking that even if we swept the Phils the result would be essentially to hand the division to the Braves. But the Braves are in San Fran so they could conceivably lose a few between now and Sunday so a sweep here plus a little damage by SFG and the entire division would tighten up considerably. Of course it would help if they could get some starters past the 4th inning, not leave small armies stranded on bases, stop running the bases like a bunch of drunks, hit a homer maybe with a man or two on occasionally, and, y'know, not suck.
  14. 17 - 8 is your (3:58) final.
  15. How 'bout ... like now!!!! (or almost now) ESPN 2, running all four consecutively starting at 11P. If you miss that it'll be on Saturday morning then again on Wednesday.
  16. 15.- 8 Phils in the 7th
  17. While we are idle, the Braves were idled (rained out vs Rox). The Phils, OTOH, cough up seven to the Cubs in the 3rd ... then come back with seven in their half of the 4th. So it's 7-7, top 5 ... and I don't think it's ending anytime soon.
  18. I have zero recollection of Barnes or Hunter
  19. Yeah, unless I'm missing something here, this is a very weird exercise to be played out in public by Uncle Stevie.
  20. =kcmets post_id=77956 time=1631798387 user_id=53] And the date is wrong, the game is tomorrow the 17th.
  21. And at least we held the Cards to a mere 41 hits over the series, 14 of which went for XB
  22. We got Noot-Baarred We also started the inning 3B - 1B - 1B then had 2-3-4 coming up ... and added bupkis.
  23. Nootbaar sounds like a Scandanavian energy snack First OO AA player since Kirk Saarloos
  24. I might need to check on this, but I believe the Mets last 43 HRs have all been solos.
  25. Edgy MD wrote: I have no problem with giving a player a sacrifice if he's going for a hit as well. It isn't either/or, it's both/and. A player could bunt regularly with men on and be assured of never making an out.
