All came in two games and neither changed the result. On the flip side, over that same span they've allowed 15 runs from the 7th on and four times those RA turned leads into losses. Tonight we have the first three meaningful post-6th inning runs since the 10th inning game-winner vs the Yanx on 6/14
  2. It's Tommy Pham's world and the rest of us are just living in it.
  3. Well that was a nice turn-around.

  6. So the Marlins, hot for most of June, must have been looking forward to their series with the Braves as a way to find out if they could play at the top level. They get swept while being out-scored 27-7 Reality bites sometimes.
  7. Hartwig gets the inning ending strike 3 call by an angry inch.
  8. This Tristan Beck guy, built just a wee bit differently from former SFG hurler Roc Beck
  9. That hit makes up for at least a couple of 100mph at'em balls from Pham recently.
  10. The last 8 NYM HRs have been solo

  13. Hi, we're ESPN here to bring you an interview show with occasional interruptions of baseball in between.
  14. Just in case you were wondering what new ways they might invent to lose a game, THAT ONE would have been a doozy! 2:10 btw
  15. And the 'Vanilla Cone' strikeout ends the inning.
  16. I'm sure I wasn't the only one to say 'here we go' following the Alonso error.
  17. But, pre-pitch clock, it was considered a nothing burger so long as the bases were empty. With runner(s) on it's obviously a balk and still would be.
  18. So it's a clock violation unless you start your motion before time runs out. And yet Manaea starting his motion within time even though he didn't finish it. Not quite sure how they justify that interpretation of the new rules.

A two-run lead feels like a one-run deficit; a three-run lead feels like a tie; a one-run deficit feels like a four-run deficit; etc. And, as Gary mentioned a bit earlier today, the Mets held three run leads in five of the Joon Swoon* losses. * Copyright pending
  20. The Mets have scored 23 1st inning runs this season The Braves have scored 11 1st inning runs Since Yesterday! and now have 86 on the year.
  21. Yanx taking it on the chin (or maybe in the nuts) in StL: 11-0, top 6th Hits, errors, and walks galore for the Red Birds. Yanx have 3 hits. And, since they got rained out last night, this is the first of two. Hey, if I can't watch my team win then I'm going to revel in the misfortune of others, especially THAT one!
  22. And, once again, they do Exactly what is needed exactly When it is needed in order to lose.
  23. Guillorme walks on ball five.
  24. Oh good, another foul pop out!
