  1. 20-9 is the final. Former yank Nestor Cortes was the starting pitcher/victim: 2 IP, 8 ER, 6 H, 5 BB, 5 HR I bet Brewer fans are loving that Devin Williams trade right about now; Cortes was the party of the other part in that deal.
  2. Yans, and Judge, up in bottom 8th. Judge going for a record-tying 4th HR, and Yanx going for record-tying 10th team HR in a game ... against a position player! But Judge = F-7
  3. The first three HRs had to be solo HRs because they came on the first three pitches of the game (well, first three in bottom 1 anyway). Judge has three HRs himself including a GS Bottom 7 now and it's [CROSSOUT]18 - 6[/CROSSOUT] 20 - 6 now after their ninth HR of the game. This will be five straight losses for the Brewers to teams with NY on their unis.
  4. =Gwreck post_id=188185 time=1743252118 user_id=56] At least we got them for opening day. There are two weekends coming up (vs LAD in May, at PHI in June) in which the Friday game is Apple, Saturday Fox, and Sunday ESPN.
  5. FOX network, as the 'G, K & R take opening weekend off' tour continues.
  6. To call it a fugly start you have to at least wait until they go around the order at least once. Three straight hits nets two runs and trumps the hitless 1st.
  7. New year means new thread IMO 1,255 -- Hayden Senger
  8. It's the execution AND the lack of originality of the idea for me. Oooh, let's do a variation of something that half the teams in the league beat us to years ago. And then there's the lack of overall theme and the cheap "Let's Make A Deal" looking costumes.
  9. Phiis win without 10th inning drama Braves get two on w/one out giving first Ozuna then Albies shots at a tying 3R HR but K - GO and the Padres take it 7 - 4 Other winners so far: MIA over PIT White Sox already better than last year, Angels not so much SFG over Reds CLE over KCR BOS over TEX BAL crushes TOR 12 - 2
  10. Did you just go and add missing accents to my post?!? All of Neris's runs scored so the Braves are now batting in the top of the 9th down 7-4 In D of C, the Phils scored twice in top 10, which is come-back-able with the ghost runner rules, but then budding star Dylan Crews dropped a catchable ball in the RF corner with two on and two outs so the Phils will instead take a four run lead into bottom 10. I'm not optimistic 'bout a comeback there.
  11. Dang! That was the one bad swing in the entire inning.
  12. Tough to IW Soto as it moves the tying run into scoring position.
  13. Hader hates Hollywood endings. 25 pitches to get the 1st out. But now the top of the order.
  14. Best walk the Mets have taken all season!!!!

I don't think Keith appreciated getting outed on his upcoming move to South Carolina by his booth mates They didn't specify where, but I see Keith as more of a 'Low Country' Charleston-area guy rather than either inland or further north towards Myrtle Beach. Kiahwa Island most likely, or maybe Hilton Head. Even in his younger days I think M.B. would be too loud for Keithy.
  16. Phormer Philly Phriend Héctor Neris starts off his Atlanta career with a game-tying HR to start the 7th followed by Single - Single (and then was pulled) Well, at least he didn't walk anyone.
  17. And now don't be afraid to draw a fourth straight walk Herr Brandon. Nearts!!
  18. Shorten up here, Swaggy, and drive in two. Don't need all three now.

  20. New Yanqui closer Devin Williams, whom you may remember from the 'Pete Alonso Ends the Brewer's Season' episode of our program, comes in to a 3-run 9th inning lead and promptly goes: Single; Double; Walk, Sac Fly to his first four hitters. - Now an SB puts the tying run in scoring position for the top of the order. - But Chourios K's and it's up to Yelich. Williams at 30 pitches. - And Yelich Ks on a 3-2 pitch ... and there was no rejoicing.
  21. =Fman99 post_id=188039 time=1743112491 user_id=86] They look flat. But a three run deficit ain't shit for this lineup
  22. Only five of Ronnie's eight 2nd game starts (as Gary just mentioned) were with the Mets. #6, 7, and 8 were when he was with Oakland. And those five NYM #2's all came consecutively in '84 - '88, four behind Gooden and once behind Bobby O (in '87 when Doc was under suspension). By '89 he started Game #3 behind Gooden and Ojeda In '90 he got the sixth start though I don't know why. Doc, Viola, Sid, Cone, then Doc again By his final NYM season in '91 he was relegated to fifth starter status following Gooden, Viola, Cone, and Wally Whitehurst
  23. Effectiveness points on that GiDP = 9 Style points = 0.6
  24. =Channel9 post_id=188009 time=1743107635 user_id=220] Anybody trying to stream this? So far, NO GOOD. Anybody else?
  25. Cam Smith, a Cubs 1st round (14th overall) draft pick out of FSU just last June, was the main trade bait going to Houston in exchange for Kyle Tucker over the winter. And he makes the OD roster and gets the start today in RF despite just 32 games in the minors.
