I had somehow expected a larger Mets contingent at the game as we ran into others in town who were headed there - but in our section there were very few. That being said, the Torontonians were as polite as could be. In the second inning the dome opened so we got both closed and opened experiences. A couple of weeks ago the notion that Tylor Megill and Ryne Stanek would be players of the game would have seemed delusional but good for them. A nice ballpark, a lovely city - good museums, good food, super walkable.

Going to the game next Monday. The missus, the son and his girlfriend attending. Our thing now is to travel to a Mets game to see a home team we’ve not seen before. Also seeing something at the Toronto Film Festival since we’re there.

Well, I don't do it every day (unlike Wordle) and I don't post if I haven't gotten them all. I do find the ones where you don't have to deal with 9 team combinations much easier -- remembering a catcher and pitcher (in this case) was pretty easy and the Cubs aren't the Rays or some team I haven't paid much attention to. I'm older than most here so can remember players from the '60's more easily (the likes of Johnny Blanchard) and have been in a fantasy league since 1999 so I've cared about a host of players that shouldn't be cared about (Miguel Olivo for example).

The first baseball game I ever went to was on August 16, 1964. The Mets beat the Phillies 12-4. Galen Cisco pitched a complete game and Bobby Klaus had 4 hits -- surely the best game of his career (.208 lifetime average). In any event, going tonight to commemorate the 60th anniversary of that game. I predict the Mets will win 12-4. -

I was in Maine during the Met-Yankee series and wanted to listen to the game on Audacy. I heard the pre-game show and then an announcement that since I was outside of the listening area I wasn't permitted to listen to the game. Fine, didn't know that was a thing. Then, two weeks ago I was walking around Brooklyn during a day game and wanted to check in on the game. Once more I got that same announcement. Maybe new ownership can fix that.

I was in Chicago about 5 or 6 years ago and took in a White Sox game (they lost to the Red Sox). Starting around May of this year I started getting regular emails from them letting me know there are seats available. So, I guess there are seats available.
