  1. I predict by the end of the day the Mets will have been rumoured to have interest in just about every player.
  2. Been reading in the rags that the Mets might be after Luis Castillo ,nice glove.
  3. The Braves have not had a 1st baseman like this in years, have they?
  4. Scary ] Teixeira, a 27-year-old switch-hitting slugger, has won two Gold Gloves at first base. He is batting .297 this season with 13 home runs and 49 RBIs. Since breaking into the majors with Texas in 2003, Teixeira has had seasons of 26, 38, 43 and 33 home runs. Only Ralph Kiner, Albert Pujols and Eddie Mathews hit more than the 140 homers that Teixeira had in his first four major league seasons. He had at least 33 homers and 110 RBIs in each of the past three.

What team did Samantha root for? Just read that was the reason she was at Shea,to promote her line of MLB themed clothes, she did claim to root for the Mets when they are not playing LA.....of course she did.
  6. OHernandez - 5 Wagner - 1 Heilman - 1 Delgado - 1 Reyes - 1 Gotay - 1
  7. Delgado - 3 Mota - 1 Pelfrey - 1 Wright - 2 Gotay - 1
  8. Maine - 3 Wright - 2 Reyes - 1 Castro - 2 Easley - 1 Gotay - 0.5 Milledge - 0.5
  9. Williams is a Dodgers fan I think, Alyssa milano was at the Mets game the other night.Maybe the Mets are her second team.

It must be a weird feeling to be 95% sure that the record that has taken so long to be broken will be broken again within a few years Of course A-Rod's career could take a similar path like the one Griffey's took.
  11. Rest In Peace. Ashamed to say I had no idea he was a coach on the 1986 team.
  12. Astros designate Ensberg for assignment.
  13. I'm sure it's not true but seems to me that Omar does this a lot, more than other teams. DiFelice will be called up apparently,Alomar can't be because he was DFA'd and must clear waivers until wednesday.
  14. Poor Dan ..
  15. Adkins - 1 Alou - 1 Easley - 1 Delgado - 1
  16. Perez - 2 Milledge - 1 Reyes - 1.5 Castro - 1 Mota - 0.5 Wright - 0.5
  17. The plan is to use Joe less in NO so he can get strong again, the Mets/Omar feel that Smith ran out of gas, this being his first year and all.
  18. I think when all is said and done Glavine will be viewed as a bad signing as far as wins and losses go.However there seems be a view point these days to gauge what some players brought to a team other than win/loss.In that case his signing might be viewed as a positive,I think the Wilpons would try and sell that. Also some experts credit Rick Peterson with changing the way Glavine pitched the last few seasons, although I don't think Glavine gives him as much credit. If you believe that Peterson helped him a great deal then you might wonder why Glavine was so resistant to that change as has been reported in the past.Did he cost himself wins because of that or were the Mets teams he was part of his first two seasons just terrible. I liked the signing at the time IIRC,and I like him as a player now.I would trust him in a big spot in the post-season. Looking back I don't think it has been a great signing for the Mets the first few seasons but it did get better.
  19. Not even a little bit funny.....but I rarely find his Top Ten lists to be funny.
  20. LoDuca - 3 Milledge - 2 Glavine - 2 Heilman - 1 Wagner - 1 Reyes - 0.5 Easley - 0.5
  21. I've no doubt Joe will come back stronger and find his form again.
  22. SNY -Friday Night at 10:30PM.....Tom Glavine - Tom Glavine: Road to 300. I like Glavine, just don't think he had any bearing on Pedro,Beltan or anyone else coming to the Mets.
  23. WOW...Joe has not pitched that good lately but I am a bit surprised by that move.
  24. .........
