  2. Interesting work , now I know why you are so named Met Hunter.
  3. The two games had a mailed in feel to them, the players, Gary and Keith , us fans, the IGT.....right now I feel like the season can't end fast enough but as soon as it does I'll miss it.....
  4. Edgy DC wrote: Booo, Wilson! nice play by Jack....didn't think he had it in him still.
  5. Passcucci with a hit, and a nice hand as he is out for a pinch runner, nice story.
  6. Val Passccui
  7. The Willie Harris positive leader/utility guy/teacher/leader/everyday player in my own mind/veteran/good guy/bench guy/savvy leader story is going to make me cry.

Let them all battle to see who should be the closer next year and beyond. As for now, I'd give Acosta a few more shots to light a fire under Parnell's ass. Hold it there, this is NY , never admit to not being a contender the following year, we're New Yokers for fecks sake.

  10. this thread is shaping up nicely.
  11. "@AdamRubinESPN: Jason Isringhausen said it's serious, displaced fractures for Jay's ankle. Bone snapped. Jay's last game missed was in 1990." Intrigue? "@AdamRubinESPN: Jay Horwitz's assistant Shannon Forde is on crutches. She has tiny fracture/sprain of left ankle." "@AdamRubinESPN: Jason Isringhausen has a herniated disc in back and won't be available for several days." "@AdamRubinESPN: Jason Isringhausen said he plans to pitch in 2012. Current issue is pinched nerve that leads to right foot tingling."
  12. Edgy DC wrote: Are we actually getting injury information on Horowitz from Isringhausen? yes we are, I'd link the tweet but can't from work.
  13. Also from Rubin Jay Horowitz broke his ankle walking to work this morning and will have surgery Monday at HSS, will remain there until then.Izzy tells Rubin that Jay's break is serious , a displaced fracture......Izzy also tells Rubin he plans on pitching next season.
  14. If I were an Astros fan I would be really pissed about my team going to the American League. As bad as they are now the Astros have a rich National League history, yeah they never won a WS but still, in my mind they are an NL team. Maybe I feel this way because of the shared history the Astros have with the Mets.
  15. Hated that when football started the playing field for baseball looked like shit.
  16. FK basically gave me the answer.
  17. Phillies are 8-2 in their last 10, on pace for how many wins?
  18. @BillWhiteheadFL Bill Whitehead Final line on Zack Wheeler. 3.2 IPs, 5 Hs, 4ERs, 6Ks, 2Ws, 1HBP. #Stluciemets #FSL #mets He'll not be best pleased with that.
  19. Fair fucks for finding the quotes.

  22. When did Delgado say all of that?, wasn't his beef with the occupation of Vieques that somehow morphed into people accusing him of hating America?
  23. duan wrote: . They play the Irish national anthem as the last song in rural irish 'discos' and it's a gruesome affair. . The local pub would do that, the band playing would finish up with it.....out local rural disco finished up with either "Whole of the Moon" or Sinatra's New York New York.Yeah it was gruesome alright.
  24. dam Rubin Collins will use different closer Wednesday. Not abandoning Parnell, but will mix and match a little. Acosta today because Izzy unavailable.
  25. Doesn't he throw a slider at times? He needs work no doubt, too many walks.
