  1. Exactly, it's the constant jabs at the Mets that irritate me , hey, the Braves signed Santana , good for them, if they had signed Drew then you could go ask Alderson what impact it has on their thinking, just fucking lazy stuff.
  2. ugh, must everything be viewed through a Mets prism? New York Post Sports ?@nypostsports #Braves had a hole at pitcher and immediately filled it. The #Mets have had a hole at SS all spring and still nothing http://nyp.st/1kiBmUN
  3. No respect for the great man, fucking trolls.
  4. Gary Cohen who is not prone to hyperbole mentioned inn one of the early Spring Training games that NO PLAYER in his opinion had ever made a better first impression that Granderson.....there is no stat for that ..... .275 - 26 hr - 102rbi . I think he is going to be great
  5. Can't see him starting anywhere but Flushing, he is one of the best CF in the game, I mean, that is a fair thing to say yes? .280 - 15HR - 48 RBI
  6. I think Gee will be the whiz on this team , 18 wins - 200IP - 2.95 ERA
  7. No doubt, progress needs to happen, I don't think this is a lockdown division for any team, Mets have a shot.
  8. He sounds nuts on this but he did write my favorite baseball book ever.
  9. I wonder if the 90 win nonsense has TC thinking way outside his comfort zone?

I think he will do well. Won't be the last time that phrase is used in a Bartolo Colon assessment. Oh Christ, lol
  11. wake him up when September comes
  12. .195 - 4 HR - 20 RBI - sent down and gone gone gone

  14. Great stuff.....
  15. Christ, the tension at the end between NY and Derry was intense ..... Have to say I enjoyed this immensely, never mind the awful makeup the kids and people involved more than made up for it.
  16. California Joe had that cool about him didn't he?, he knew he was great, his coach knew it and he killed his set.....you could tell watching that he was brilliant. Loved seeing Birmingham John come though, nice moment.
  17. Hard not to feel for the Sri Lankan kid from Holland, when he says it is all he has and it keeps him out of trouble....shit is real.
  18. Half way through, enjoying it more than I thought...makes sense that the Russians are joyless, it's what we believe about them.....but great to see them at it.....I like the young kid from Birmingham ....I grew up in Tipperary where Irish dancing was huge, I never remember all this awful makeup etc. How about the family that relocated to Birmingham from California? dad gave up mutli million dollar homes and a medical practice to move to one of the most depressed cities in England.
  19. That's a lot for a guy who's a FA after 2014, right? Who fits all of those criteria? I think just one team, the "we'll win 90 now" New York Mets. that fucking 90 win crap is going to haunt this team.
  20. gee whiz Humber seriously, I went with Zack.....

  22. Going to watch later.....
  23. Then drool some more Marc Carig ?@MarcCarig Doumit: It was Syndergaard and then Familia came in. Youre seeing 97, 98 the fifth game of spring training. Its pretty impressive." Marc Carig ?@MarcCarig Doumit: "Its pretty impressive they have arms like that over there. I havent seen anything like that yet this spring. Marc Carig ?@MarcCarig Doumit on Syndergaard: "I didnt know anything about the kid coming into today. But I sure wont forget his name now. Bro love right there
  24. John Cougar Lunchbucket wrote: Yup, he's fine. People consider him a gigantic joke but he strikes me as mostly honest about his knowledge and insight. I like him ,always have in the booth, although he used to have that "ok listen" vibe when talking about GM stuff....there is a reason he keeps getting gigs despite his personal failings.....
  25. Looks great , settling into his retirement life nicely.....not a bad life I bet.
