Bert to close this out, Armando closes the game out for the Giants, only 3 out with 3 still left against the Padres..amazing

Mientkiewicz never gets in now for defence it seems, Bert mowing em down...

Hernandez in to pitch, Gary tells us that the Giants have taken the lead against the Padres 3 to 2, Winn tied it with a homer and Snow followed with a home run, Giants leading in the 9th..WOW...great series there.
-
I'd think so Edgy, great AB by Mink here, Ice steals second, 2 & 2 on Mink..fouled off again , Doug again fouls it off, Leiberthal nearly makes a good play into the dugot, again Doug fouls, 10 pitches this turn at bat...ball 3 on a change-up..caught him for a strike 3..great AB
-
Jake again does the biz, sac fly to plate Beltran..3 RBI for jake

The Red Sox game is called , a double header tomorrow, Schilling will start the night game and then start the last game of the season, I'm listening to the FAN and when did Ed Coleman turn into such a prick,he's full of scorn for just about every caller, yeah I know most callers are asking for it but Ed fucking Coleman sounds like Francesa.
-
I'd not want to be the GM that gives him 4 years/$40M, for years people have talked about his great stuff yet he was 37/38 coming into this season..
-
Seems strange that they never took one, with all the promoting they do of Acela I would have thought that they would take the train to Philly and DC all the time.

Frayed Knot, in your game wouldn't that ball be called Foul?

From the rule book... ]BASES ON BALLS 10.16 (a) A base on balls shall be scored whenever a batter is awarded first base because of four balls having been pitched outside the strike zone, but when the fourth such ball touches the batter it shall be scored as a "hit batter." (See 10.18 (h) for procedure when more than one pitcher is involved in giving a base on balls: Also see 10.17 ( relative to substitute batter who receives base on balls.) ( Intentional base on balls shall be scored when the pitcher makes no attempt to throw the last pitch to the batter into the strike zone but purposely throws the ball wide to the catcher outside the catcher's box. (1) If a batter awarded a base on balls is called out for refusing to advance to first base, do not credit the base on balls. Charge a time at bat. http://www.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/official_info/official_rules/official_scorer_10.jsp

Piazza wil be my favorite Met forever, love him and today he gave me a reason to smile....

Burnitz has had a fine career, didn't he nearly retire a few years ago after his season in LA finished, got a call from the Rockies and has never looked back, one thing I liked about Burnitz was his honesty as a player, when he sucked he said it in a very honest way, always tries it seemed.

Why is that Val, I think Pedro gets a bad rap for no real reason, I doubt a change would bother him, he's a pro.
-
Yeah this is a year late, I like most I'm sure would be shocked if WWSB were not the manager next year, although with guys like Bill Madden in the Daily News stirring the pot you never know, to be honest I'd be more than happy to have Lou replace Willie.
-
I like Willie's take on that Edgy, losers might be a bit strong but I see his point.
-
As regards Cairo it's all very simple, he was one of Willie's guys, how many times did we hear that over the season, I highly doubt numbers even came into it until recently.
-
LOL..that's cold...and yeah he is a loser
-
ted Robinson brought up a good point on that play, why was Delgado playing so far of the bag on that play?
