    I'm actually kind of suprised that Barajas is getting the start over Blanco. And that GMJ didn't find his way into the lineup. I need some baseball!

    If this team could find a way to play .500 on the road, everything would be alright. Not being able to win any road series puts a big dent in their cred...even with the 9-1 homestand.

    Agreed...this is the B lineup, and while I can understand Blanco, Matthews and Cora piss me off. Matthews more than Cora.

    I am of the opinion that the #3 hitter should be the best hitter on your team. While Jose is not a poor hitter, he is not our best hitter. I think/thought that Jose was too much of a dynamic player from the lead off spot to bat third. Everytime I see him pop-up another foul-out to the third baseman, I like this experiment even less. I would be OK with moving him back to leadoff at any time.

    Just purchased tix for 5/29 & 5/30 at Milwaukee. Saturday night behind the Mets dugout. Sunday afternoon behind the Mets bullpen. Should be a fun 24 hours of baseball. On edit: Turns out the Saturday game is a Negro League Tribute - As part of the Brewers/New York Mets game, the Brewers will wear reproductions of uniforms worn by the Milwaukee Bears, the city's 1923 representative in the Negro National League. No word as to whether the Mets will wear throwbacks as well.

    When Cohen was watching Mejia pitch and asked who the last pitcher was that had that fastball-curveball sequence, I knew who he was thinking of. I like this Jenry guy.
