  2. He is what he is...I'm past hoping he'll get much better. 200 IP, 10-12, 4.34 ERA, 110 K, 70 BB

  4. 70 IP, 3-6, 4.23 ERA, 3 saves, 65 K, 36 BB

  6. metsblog wrote: Andres Torres was scratched from this mornings lineup with tightness in his right hip. According to MetsBlog.coms Matthew Cerrone, Torres felt tightness while stretching with the team yesterday morning, after which he refrained from baseball activity and spent the day in treatment. Torres has been replaced in todays lineup by Kirk Nieuwenhuis, who will also bat leadoff.
  7. The last gaming console I owned was a Super Nintendo. I do miss Madden for PC. I find Baseball Mogul cures any baseball gaming ills that I have...of which I don't have many.
  8. I caught the first six innings on the internets and was extremely happy to have some Mets baseball back. I'm also very happy that the black drop-shadow is nowhere to be found. Obviously, the unis have dropped it, but even the logos around the stadium and SNY's swipe graphics don't have the black anymore. Lovin' it. Torres looked like he was ready to show he can lead off. Also, I appreciated the couple of bases the team swiped. Jose who? This team may or may not be any good. But it does look like they will at least be entertaining to watch.
  9. Both excellent. I went with Lunchie and his ultra-contemporary parody. I got both songs right away without seeing the Youtubes. That's the sign of a good parody in my mind.
  10. Boy, did I pick the wrong childhood hero. Lenny Dykstra sentenced to 3 years
  11. Well, it seems that Vasquez is "retired" and Oswalt is going to wait until a team near his home can afford his limitied services. I'm calling this contest...congrats to attgig! I only picked Reyes and Ortiz correctly. I suck at these.

  13. And the semis don't disappoint. Can I get a poll up in heya?
  14. The way the team is contructed right now, I hope no one is guaranteed a starting job. We name starters the old fashioned way...they earn it.
  15. Ronny Cedeno #13 Great job keeping this up!
  16. Fuckin' shocker. Who doesn't like more money? At least it puts a new wrinkle in the post-season prediction contest.
  17. Back issue has Mets' Havens out
  18. Well, if they're not a good baseball team, they can try to sell tickets by impersonating a circus. Edited for grammar. How embarrassing!
  19. Where's Jeffy?
  20. I believe SNY also has some hefty interest payments of it's own, but it is one of the few Wilpon outlets that still turns a profit...so who knows. Wilpon's only hope is that this team is better than people think...and that it translates into sucess both on the field and at the box office. He's hedging a lot of bets and hoping for some magic to happen...which is really his only choice right now. He's not giving up his team unless someone pries it out of his cold, dead (broke) hands.
  21. Byrdak.
  22. The 2012 Mets: This is the dawning of the age of Aquarius.
