Too many designers don't know when to leave well-enough alone. Sometimes the easiest way to say it's 1-and-2 is to put up a graphic that says 1-2 Everyone else OK with the new SNY ball - strike counter other than me and FK? If so, maybe me and FK need new TV's. I dunno.

But if I recall correctly, the player in question played in Tacoma as well, so there's no need to swap out anything. OTOH, I'm still struggling with Neiuwenhuis so don't go by anything I might think..

Why not tomorrow? Prolly cuz a lefty's starting Yeah but it sounds as if Collins intends to move Duda up one slot no matter the pitcher, and not just against righties. That new ticker blows. The runners on base graphic isn't so clear either. Who was the test audience? Mr. Magoo? The same guy that designed CF's scoreboards?
  4. Another feelgood win. They might even knock the Yanks off of tomorrow's back pages for the second time this week. Is a 2-0 Mets start bigger news than an 0-2 MFY start? Collins said he expects Duda to surpass Jason Bay in the batting order -- going from the six spot to the No. 5 hole -- in the second series of the season. http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/mets/post/_/id/42043/duda-gets-help-from-shorter-dimensions Sounds fine by me. I'll betcha we're talking about different guys. I'll tell you this: I didn't get the right answer when I was first given this quiz and I wouldn't know it today if I didn't know it.

I love the Bridge particularly, and the building behind it is nice too if downplayed and I love the way it randomly reflects things on sunny days. The Pepsi Porch is nice too, and a lot of those things do fit with the overall 'NYC' theme of it. God bless you. You're OK in my book. (I think).
  10. The suspect is not hatless. I repeat: The suspect is not hatless. Female Suspect On L.I. Seen Wearing Mets Cap During Bank Robbery http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2012/04/05/female-suspect-on-l-i-seen-wearing-mets-cap-during-bank-robbery/
  11. Awesome of the day: Vintage Mr. Met on a bicycle. Mr. Met was in deep Yankee territory when he took that bicycle stroll. That's the Bronx County Supreme Courthouse on our left (Mr. Met's right). You might notice that many of the fan interviews used in the Mets highlight film of the '63 season were shot on the steps of the Bronx Courthouse. Since Mr. Met debuted in '63, maybe those fan interviews were shot on the same day depicted in the bicycle ride pic.
  12. Lewin got off a great line when they acknowledged Howie was more Honeymooners and Lewin more Family Guy. Turning back to the game, Lewin goes: Davis addresses the ball. I guess a lot of people missed it which was the point of their conversation. Hellooooooooooooh ball
  13. Ceetar wrote: 11 pages? you guys did good. I'll have to go back and read through it later. Was a good game. Was a fun atmosphere too, people were mostly into and Bay even only got mostly booed. Really love the new scoreboard. they've really updated the content so no longer will they pop up things like Scott Hairston: .244 1 HR 5 RBI in June like that means anything. OBP/SLG/OPS although that seem redundant. WHIP. XBHs. Even shows the spray chart for a batter's balls in play for the game. scoring summary for the inning (How'd Ike get on again? oh right) How were the new Buffalo Dogs, if you know? And what new scoreboard?
  14. This is why I usually quote the post I'm responding to. It often clarifies the exchange. I remember a discussion here a few weeks ago where someone, under some circumstances, was against quoting the post being responded to. I disagreed, buy stayed out of that discussion.
  15. Mets Willets Point wrote: batmagadanleadoff wrote: You don't think I knew that? Just trying to play peacemaker. It's my natural inclination. Actually, I didn't. I grossly misinterpreted that exchange. How embarraskin. But I'm leaving my post up there as a preemptive strike should anyone now really accuse me of swinging the FU hammer.
  16. I didn't realize that I was wielding a fuck you hammer. So let me apologize before this degenerates into another monthly and nasty personal attack against me on account of me expressing an unpopular but eminently logical opinion. Funny thing, because I thought that it was the posters I was responding to that were swinging fuck you hammers. What? They don't want the Mets to retire 36? Why not? And why shouldn't I be offended by that? After Carter, I guess the Mets should retire Dennis Bennett's number too.
  17. Maybe after Jerry Koosman and Jerry Grote get their numbers retired. But not Jerry Cram. Or Jerry May.
  18. Murph - one pitch and he's back to leading the league in doubles.
  19. Fman99 wrote: I like the faux handwritten lineup cards. Let's Go Mets! I caught that. They remind me of Grimm's scorecard feature on the UMDB.
  20. Very strong opening inning from Johan. The Braves were baffled on numerous pitches, and their only hit was a lame grounder off the end of the bat that found the hole to the outfield. I don't think that Johan reached 90 MPH on any pitch, though.
  21. Did the Marlins tip their hand? Is that David Wright, Andy Warhol style, in a Marlins cap on the scoreboard?
  22. John Cougar Lunchbucket wrote: Looking at CF from the Whitestone or Van Wyck just breaks your heart, nothing says "baseball" everything says advertising. I could've written this same post, word for word. The first time I saw Citi Field from the Whitestone/Van Wyck, my heart broke.
