Somewhere down the line, a big legal shitstorm is going to unfold when a professional athlete is suspended for involvement, or alleged involvement really, in an incident in which there were no criminal findings. Familia's wife is not bound by the CBA or any other MLB rule, and is not obligated to cooperate with MLB's investigation of this alleged incident. It appears that either nothing happened here, or the Familias are closing ranks to make it appear as if nothing happened so that Jeurys could either avoid or minimize a suspension and all of the negative consequences that would flow to the Familias from that suspension, including, obviously, loss of income.
